A threshold is more than wood and stone- it is the quiet breath between what has been and what is yet to come.

It is the whisper of the door sill beneath wandering feet, the fragile spark where every journey finds its first heartbeat, and the invisible edge where the world quietly holds its breath, waiting for the love of change to unfold

A weathered omega buried beneath the heavy winter of paternal duty and the ghosts of a fractured past, caught in the orbit of a newly awakened alpha who views a fractured world with unblemished reverence a fragile devotion forbidden by the chasm of years, sacred taboos, and the unyielding chains of pack tradition

The fire was roaring, the center of the flame blooming in blue before burning into the roaring red of the fire, and Jungkook felt the burning inside of him all the way to his skin.

It prickled, begged, and craved something that Jungkook didn’t know what it was yet, carrying a deep longing and yearning. He looked up to the sky, it was dark, glittering with starry light while a soft wind carried the hum of a snow breeze, swirling around the campfire and dancing around the packmates who were dancing. And yet, Jungkook’s skin burned, causing him to move away from the cold wind to seek warmth.

“Congratulations, Jungkook,” a pack member greeted him with a smile, followed by another and a soft kiss on his cheeks.

It was his friend Taehyung. “Congratulations, Jungkook,” he smiled, gleaming while his whole skin scented something that wasn’t from him.

“Tae, you smelled different,” Jungkook said.

“Ahh yes... I have to leave my daddy in the maternal home you know,” Taehyung said with a hum.

The word ‘daddy’ quietly thumped in Jungkook’s heart. The daddy, or for Jungkook, known as the omega Namjoon, was an omega father who birthed his best friend, an omega who kissed him good night when he was fifteen and lulled him to sleep. The omega... Jungkook’s mind flashed to the deep dark night he turned into the wolf.

It was a dark night, and there was no moon. To every alpha who turned to their wolf, it was supposed to happen under a moonlit night, under the blessing of the moon.

Yet... when Jungkook turned to his wolf, there was no moon.

His skin ripped from his hold, his wolf surfacing like the dark night itself. Jungkook scntemed, he begged to the moon, yet there was the soft cooling touch of a moon in the dark. The light roared.

And he turned.

His was a dark midnight-fur wolf, like his ancestors were. He carried the weight of the dark, the warrior blood.

And he ran... disoriented... searching for comfort with pain-filled breaths.

He ran and ran into the dark woods until he saw a single burning fire. A single, familiar fire. And Jungkook ran towards it.

His heavy paws crushed the frozen twigs, his massive frame driving blindly through the shadows until the warm flicker of the torch cut through the black. A lone figure was walking through the quiet night, holding the flame. Jungkook’s wild, frantic instincts didn’t hesitate, he lunged forward, closing the distance in a heartbeat, and crashed heavily onto the person.

It was Namjoon.

The torch slipped from Namjoon’s hand, clattering against the frozen earth and scattering sparks before the flame hissed out in the dirt. For a split second, trapped beneath the sheer weight of a massive, dark-furred beast, Namjoon gasped and crawled backward in terror, desperately trying to scramble away into the safety of the trees, utterly convinced a rogue, feral wolf was attacking him.

No. No, not a monster, please, don’t be afraid of me, Jungkook’s wolf whimpered frantically in the back of his fractured mind.

Then, as he loomed over the trembling omega, a rush of cool rain-soaked cedar and soft warmth drifted past his muzzle.

His sweet, steady omega scent washed over the chaotic storm inside the alpha’s chest, clearing the red mist of the terrifying transformation. It was Namjoon, his gentle caretaker, the object of his innocent, burning boyish crush since he was fifteen years old.

The massive black wolf let out a low, shuddering whine, pressing his heavy head down right against Namjoon’s shoulder, completely helpless against the overwhelming flood of comfort and longing.

Namjoon’s heart hammered frantically against his ribs, his breath catching in his throat as the heavy, dark-furred beast pressed its immense weight against him. He didn’t understand who it was, his mind racing with panic as the new wolf cried and rested its massive head right onto his shoulder.

Who is this?

A rogue?

A lost pack member? Namjoon thought, his palms flat against the cold, frozen earth as he tried to push back.

Deep inside his chest, a strange, unaccountable nudge flickered to life, an instinctive warmth that he quickly tried to disregard, telling himself it was just shock.

Yet, as the terrifying beast let out another low, vibrating whine that echoed straight into Namjoon’s bones, all the fear in the omega’s heart began to melt away. Slowly, hesitantly, Namjoon’s fingers drew upward, sinking into the massive, thick black fur.

The fur was dense, warm, and shuddering under his touch.

“Shh...” Namjoon murmured into the dark night, his voice trembling before smoothing out into a soft, melodic tune.

He started to hum a gentle lullaby, the very same one he used to sing years ago, letting the familiar notes drift over the frantic wolf to soothe him down.

Shh, little wolf. You’re safe now. I’ve got you, Namjoon thought, his hands slowly tracing the powerful curve of the alpha’s neck, completely unaware of the burning, devoted eyes watching him from beneath the dark fur.

Shh...

The night fell into a deep slumber.

The dark-furred wolf rested his heavy head against Namjoon’s chest, nuzzling softly and purring like a baby, the deep vibration rumbling straight through the omega’s clothes and into his skin. Namjoon let out a slow, shuddering breath, his fingers still tangled in the thick black coat as the frantic panic of the midnight attack completely dissolved into a profound, heavy stillness.

He’s just a boy, Namjoon thought dazedly, his eyelids growing heavy as the exhaustion of the ordeal wrapped around him like a blanket.

A young alpha... so tired...

And the night consumed Namjoon’s thoughts as he finally rested his eyes under the warmth of the huge wolf, both of them surrendering to the overwhelming wave of exhaustion until they fell deeply, soundly asleep beneath the starless sky.

Namjoon blinked against the pale morning light, his gaze tracking upward from the broad, bare shoulders pressing against his chest.

Jungkook? The realization settled slowly into his groggy mind. His hands, still unsteady from the long night, hovered over the smooth, sculpted skin of the young alpha’s back before slowly moving upward.

With a quiet breath, Namjoon lifted a hand, gently brushing the damp strands of dark hair away from Jungkook’s forehead.

The heavy brow, the sharp, slumbering jawline, the familiar slope of a nose he had watched grow over the last six years, it all fell into place.

And right beneath Namjoon’s palms, a dangerous, electric heat began to pulse through Jungkook’s skin again, waking the dormant, volatile storm of his first-ever rut.

“Hey, pup...” Namjoon whispered, trying to wake the sleeping alpha.

“Hmm... nahh...” Jungkook murmured, his voice thick with sleep, trying to nuzzle even deeper into Namjoon’s warm hold.

“Hey, pup... Jungkook, pup...”

Namjoon tried to wake him desperately, fighting hard to keep his gaze away from Jungkook’s bare, completely naked frame. But it was impossible. For the first time, Namjoon was truly seeing Jungkook like this.

A naked, sun-kissed, heavy muscular frame.

His muscles glistened in the pale morning sun rays, soft to the eye yet brimming with raw, latent strength. Namjoon’s gaze traced helplessly down the broad expanse of his back, sweeping over the powerful line of his waist, and down his thighs and legs.

Jungkook was no longer just his son’s best friend. No longer just the boy he had lulled to sleep. He was a grown man, a dangerously handsome, fully transitioned alpha.

And for the first time in his forty years as a mateless omega, Namjoon felt a sudden, electric jolt of pure lust.

The craving of an omega, starved and awakened, flared hot and deep in his chest.

Namjoon swallowed hard, forcing his fluttering pulse to steady as he gently rested a hand on Jungkook’s broad, bare shoulder.

“Jungkook,” Namjoon called out softly, his voice a little huskier than he intended.

“Wake up, pup. Come on now.”

A low, disgruntled rumble vibrated in Jungkook’s chest. He blinked slowly, his dark eyes heavy with lingering sleep and thick haze. For a second, he just stared blankly, adjusting to the morning light and the fact that his face was pressed against the soft curve of an omega’s body.

Then, reality rushed back.

Jungkook’s eyes went wide. His entire body jerked upright as his human mind caught up with what had happened. He looked down, realizing he was completely, shamelessly naked, sprawled right on top of Namjoon.

The pale skin of his chest instantly flushed a deep, brilliant crimson, creeping all the way up his neck and dusting the tips of his ears.

“F-fuck, ” Jungkook choked out, scrambling backward so fast he nearly tangled his own long legs in the bedding. He covered his front with his hands, hunching his broad shoulders inward with a look of pure, agonizing mortification.

“I, I’m sorry, Namjoon, I didn’t, I didn’t mean to, fuck, I’m naked, I’m so sorry, ”

Namjoon couldn’t help the small, fond smile that tugged at the corner of his lips. He pushed himself up onto his elbows, watching the towering young alpha shrink into himself with a shy, flustered expression that completely contrasted with his heavy, muscular frame.

“Hey,” Namjoon murmured, his tone soothing and warm.

“It’s okay, Jungkook. Breathe. You shifted back in your sleep, it’s completely natural after a first transformation.”

“I... I shouldn’t be like this. On you,” Jungkook muttered, staring desperately at the floor, his ears burning red. “Taehyung’s appa.. I’m so sorry.”

“It’s alright, pup,” Namjoon repeated gently.

Reaching over the edge of the cot, Namjoon picked up his heavy outer robe, a thick, soft garment thoroughly drenched in his own sweet, alluring scent of rain-soaked cedar and warm omega comfort. He held it out, offering it across the space between them.

“Here,” Namjoon said softly, his dark eyes locking onto Jungkook’s flustered gaze. “Put this on. It’ll help keep the chill off... and settle your head.”

Jungkook’s breath hitched. As the rich, sweet scent of the robe drifted over him, a primal shiver ran straight down his spine, instantly calling out to the restless alpha waking up deep inside his bones.

“Hey... Earth to Jungkook...”

Taehyung’s voice snapped Jungkook right back to the glaring reality of the campfire, the dancing packmates, and the cold winter wind. He blinked hard, shaking the vivid, heavy memory of the dark woods and Namjoon’s warm robe from his head.

“Why is your daddy going to the maternal home?” Jungkook asked, his voice tighter than he intended, his heart still hammering against his ribs from the sudden flash of his own mind.

“Oh, you know... his pre-heat,” Taehyung said casually, taking a sip from a wooden cup.

Jungkook’s breath hitched. “He still gets his heats?”

Taehyung snorted, rolling his eyes with a grin.

“Dude... my daddy is not old. He’s in his prime, actually. He just happened to give birth to this awesome alpha when he was very young,” Taehyung said teasingly, nudging Jungkook’s solid shoulder with his elbow.

Jungkook didn’t laugh. The word heat hit his chest like a physical blow, sending a sudden, molten shockwave straight down to his tightening core.

Jungkook walked.

He walked toward the forest, the very same forest where he had turned. Just like that night, it was dark, a moonless sky hanging low and heavy over the canopy. Just like that day, his body burned, crying out for the deep, primal comfort he so desperately needed.

The forest deepened into an old, abandoned village that once stood full of life. While the new pack settled on the forest edge where Jungkook was born, Namjoon had origins tied deep within this hidden sanctuary. At the heart of the old village lay a small, secluded lake, its waters whispering the forest’s secrets like a giggling girl in the dark.

And there he was.

Bathing in the lake.

The entire clearing was saturated with a soft, vibrant hum, the rich, alluring presence of the omega. It was as if Namjoon had stepped back into his youthful self, choosing to bathe under the night sky just like the old days before the weight of fatherhood and pack duties claimed every hour.

A single fire torch flickered on the bank, casting a warm, molten orange glow across Namjoon’s body. The light glistened against wet skin, shifting and moving effortlessly with every gentle ripple of the water.

Jungkook stepped out from the heavy shadows, his breath catching painfully in his throat.

His entire body shook. He stared, completely transfixed by the breathtaking sight of the omega. Namjoon’s lean, sculpted frame, the thick, inviting curve of his thighs, and the soft, graceful lines that were usually hidden beneath heavy traditional hanbok layers were now fully, exquisitely exposed to the moonlight and firelight.

It was pure art. An intimate, heart-stopping vision that made the alpha’s blood roar in his ears.

Jungkook’s grip tightened on the edge of a mossy stone. Six years of a secret, burning boyish crush collided violently with the explosive, feral hunger of his newly awakened rut. The sweet, damp cedar and rain scent of the omega wrapped around Jungkook like a physical touch, drawing him closer to the water’s edge.

The water rippled softly against Namjoon’s hips, catching the flickering orange light of the torch and casting a molten, golden glow across his entire frame. Jungkook stood frozen in the shadows, his breath trapped in his throat, his eyes wide and burning as he took in the sheer, unbridled glory of the omega.

This was the first time he had ever seen Namjoon naked.

Stripped of the heavy, concealing layers of traditional hanbok, Namjoon’s body was a breathtaking masterpiece of art and temptation. His skin gleamed like smooth, honey-touched silk under the moonlight and firelight, every subtle curve and contour highlighted by the dancing warmth. The lean, elegant lines of his waist tapered down into the rich, inviting curve of his thighs, water droplets clinging to his skin like scattered diamonds. It was a vision of pure, mature grace that completely unraveled Jungkook’s mind.

And then, the scent hit him.

A thick, heavy wave of heat-driven aroma unfurled across the clearing, sweet, intoxicating, and drenched in the raw, magnetic calling of an omega’s pre-heat. It wrapped around Jungkook like a living thing, sinking straight into his bloodstream and setting his alpha biology ablaze.

Deep inside Jungkook, a violent, primitive switch flipped. The quiet, adoring boyish crush he had carried since he was fifteen shattered into dust, replaced by the crushing, ravenous hunger of an awakened alpha entering his first rut.

His pulse hammered furiously in his ears. Heat pooled low in his abdomen, rushing downward with agonizing intensity until his cock hardened, swelling thick and heavy against the fabric of his trousers. It was his very first true arousal, heavy and demanding, driven entirely by the magnificent sight of Namjoon’s bare, glowing body.

Jungkook’s hands trembled at his sides, his chest heaving as his gaze locked onto the omega, completely intoxicated and ready to surrender everything to the fire.

A deep, guttural growl tore from beneath Jungkook’s skin, vibrating straight through the heavy night air.

His first rut exploded, shattering the last fragile threads of his control. Every instinct screamed for him to claim, to pull, to devour the omega standing right in front of him. It was a pure, animalistic need, violent and absolute, fueled by the heat blooming in his blood and the hypnotic sight of the honey-skinned omega in the water.

He didn’t think. He didn’t hesitate.

With a explosive surge of newly awakened alpha strength, Jungkook leaped across the mossy bank and into the lake.

Before Namjoon could even gasp, strong, calloused hands shot out, gripping Namjoon’s wet, naked wrists and pinning them against the stone edge. In one swift, fluid motion, Jungkook surged upward, wrapping his powerful naked legs around Namjoon’s waist, locking his wet thighs tight against the omega’s hips to trap him close.

The collision of their bare skin sent a blinding shockwave through the water and through their souls. Jungkook buried his face hard into the crook of Namjoon’s neck, breathing in deep, ravenous lungfuls of his pre-heat scent as a low, possessive rumble echoed from the center of his chest.

“Jungkook...” Namjoon’s breathing hitched, a sharp gasp tearing past his lips. “Pup, what are you, ”

He didn’t get to finish.

Fierce, hot lips slammed down, instantly silencing his words. Jungkook kissed him with a desperate, crushing fervor, a consuming demand that stole the very air from Namjoon’s lungs. It wasn’t gentle, it was raw, hungry, and overflowing with years of silent, burning longing.

Namjoon’s hands trembled against the stone edge as Jungkook broke the kiss, tracking a wet, heated trail down the slippery line of Namjoon’s neck. Jungkook’s nose buried right into the soft, exposed skin over Namjoon’s scent gland, inhaling deeply before nipping possessively, marking his claim with a low, vibrating growl against the omega’s pulse point.

Then, his mouth dropped lower, tracking down to Namjoon’s bare, honey-kissed chest.

The soft swells of Namjoon’s bosom, once shaped and nurtured to feed his own son years ago, now served as the ultimate, holy sanctuary for a rut-crazed alpha. Jungkook let out a broken, fevered groan, pressing his face flush against the warm flesh.

His tongue swirled hungrily over the sensitive apex of Namjoon’s chest, deepening the motion with every ragged breath. He licked a long, agonizing trail up the curve, sucking firmly while inhaling deep, intoxicating lungfuls of Namjoon’s sweet pre-heat scent.

Namjoon’s back arched sharply off the stone, a high, breathy whine slipping past his lips as lightning shot straight down his spine. His fingers tangled frantically into Jungkook’s damp, dark hair, clutching the young alpha close as the water around them churned with their heavy, desperate heat.

“Jungkook... calm down, pup...” Namjoon finally managed to say, his voice breathless and trembling against the hot skin of the young alpha’s face.

“Mine,” Jungkook growled, the word vibrating deep within his chest, thick and absolute. “My omega.”

“Jungkook, pup... you shouldn’t have, ah... nnh, ”

Namjoon’s breath hitched as Jungkook’s hips shifted, pressing hard and heavy against him. A low, shuddering moan tore from Namjoon’s lips, muffled right against Jungkook’s mouth as he felt the heavy, thick friction of the alpha’s growing arousal pressing directly against his heat. The sheer intensity of it sent a blinding wave of pleasure straight through Namjoon’s core, entirely dissolving his final shreds of resistance.

Namjoon’s hips bucked instinctively, losing it with a sharp, breathless gasp as he completely melted into Jungkook’s consuming hold.

“Pup... please... I’m... nnh, ” Namjoon moaned again, his hands gripping weakly at Jungkook’s wide, muscular shoulders. “I’m... much older than you... you should have found a... new... young omega...”

“No. Mine... my omega... you are mine, Namjoon,” Jungkook growled, his voice vibrating with a dark, absolute possessiveness that brook no argument.

With a surge of fierce, raw strength, Jungkook scooped the trembling omega right up into his arms, lifting him cleanly out of the lake water. The cool night air hit their slick skin, but neither of them felt the chill. Jungkook’s hands, rough and burning with the fever of his first rut, cupped the full, soft weight of Namjoon’s thighs, lifting him higher as they pressed chest to chest.

As their bodies shifted, Jungkook felt it, the thick, heavy slide of slick soaking out from Namjoon’s heat, dripping and coating them both, announcing the peak of the omega’s pre-heat in response to his alpha.

Jungkook buried his face back into the crook of Namjoon’s neck, inhaling the sweet, heady scent of a desperate, blooming omega as he carried him toward the mossy bank.

“You are mine,” Jungkook whispered fiercely against his skin, his breath hot and ragged. “You bloomed like mine...”

“And you will be forever mine,” Jungkook murmured, his voice heavy, dark, and absolute against Namjoon’s trembling skin.

He didn’t stop at the bank. Carrying the weeping, slick-drenched omega securely in his arms, Jungkook strode purposefully through the shadows of the old village ruins until they reached the hidden, ancient dwelling. It was Namjoon’s maternal home, the quiet, secluded sanctuary left just for his upcoming heat, already softly warm with a gentle fire crackling deep within the stone hearth, casting a golden, flickering glow across the traditional wooden floorboards.

Jungkook kicked the heavy wooden door shut behind them, sealing out the rest of the world.

He lowered Namjoon down onto the soft, fur-lined pallet waiting by the hearth, the heat of the fire washing over their bare, slicked bodies. The air inside the room was already thick, saturated with the rich, honeyed scent of Namjoon’s peak pre-heat colliding violently with the overwhelming, possessive cedar and smoke of Jungkook’s first rut.

Namjoon lay back against the furs, his chest heaving, his eyes heavy-lidded and dilated with raw need. His fingers twitched, instinctively reaching up to grab at Jungkook’s broad shoulders as the young alpha loomed over him, a magnificent, towering picture of raw, untamed desire.

“Pup...” Namjoon breathed out, a soft, broken whimper slipping past his lips as Jungkook settled between his thighs, pressing his heavy, aching length right against the omega’s soaked core. “Jungkook... take me...”

“I have waited... yearned for you, Namjoon. Every kind touch, every glance... I wished it was for me. Every smile you ever gave, I wanted it just for myself.”

Jungkook’s voice was low, thick with a desperate, pent-up devotion that had festered in his chest for six long years since he was fifteen. With rough, hurried movements, he stripped away the remaining fabric of his garments, letting them drop to the floorboards.

His physique was a masterpiece of raw, newly-matured alpha power, broad shoulders, tight ribs, and veins popping along his heavy, sculpted arms under the amber glow of the fire.

He moved between Namjoon’s open legs, his large, calloused hands gripping firmly around Namjoon’s thick, honeyed thighs, pulling the omega flush against him.

“Don’t tell me... that you still see me as just your son’s friend,” Jungkook growled, his dark eyes burning with fierce, possessive intensity as he towered over the older omega. “I’m... me. An alpha. And I’m... claiming you.”

The cold mist still clung to the old village ruins when the massive black wolf finally settled back into human form. Exhausted, shivering, and entirely naked against the bitter morning frost, Jungkook had blinked up blindly into the light.

Namjoon had been right there, kneeling beside him in the dirt without a second of hesitation. With the practiced, tender hands of an omega who had guided his own son, Taehyung, through his full wolf transition just a few months prior, Namjoon cradled the newly turned alpha with utmost respect and motherly affection.

“Lean on me, pup,” Namjoon murmured softly, draping his own warm outer robe over Jungkook’s trembling, muscular shoulders.

Jungkook had flushed deeply, hiding his face away against Namjoon’s shoulder as the guilt of his wild, disoriented panic from the night before came crashing back. “I’m sorry, Appa... I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap on you last night. I just... I didn’t know what was happening to me...”

“It’s okay, bub,” Namjoon had whispered back, a gentle, understanding smile gracing his lips as his fingers smoothed through Jungkook’s damp hair. “I get it. Your instincts were fighting blind. But look at you... you are now a fully turned alpha. Congratulations, Jungkook.”

Those simple words had completely unraveled the young alpha. In that moment, all the noise of the pack, all the expectations of his new status faded away, leaving only Namjoon, his warm, steady anchor.

“Let’s get you back to the pack,” Namjoon said softly, helping him to his feet.

Jungkook had nodded shyly, clutching the heavy, cedar-scented robe tighter around himself. “Take a deep breath. One step at a time.”

The first steps after a full wolf transformation always burned, muscles tearing and rebuilding under the strain. Jungkook winced, gritting his teeth against the sharp ache in his legs.

“Did it... did it hurt you like this when you turned for the first time?” Jungkook asked quietly, looking up through his lashes at the older omega.

Namjoon smiled softly and nodded, a fleeting, bittersweet look crossing his eyes as he gracefully hid away the deep, phantom ache buried far beneath his calm exterior.

Jungkook didn’t know, couldn’t possibly know, the dark shadow behind that smile.

Twenty years ago, when Namjoon had reached the age of twenty and shifted into his omega form for the first time, there had been no gentle hands, no safe robes, no guiding pack. His old village had been brutally attacked in the dead of night by a pack of rogue alphas. Left entirely alone and defenseless in his newly awakened, highly vulnerable omega state, Namjoon had suffered unimaginable cruelty, targeted and abused by the attackers before they left him broken in the ruins.

It was from that harrowing night, and the lonely, painful journey back to civilization while hiding his trauma, that Namjoon had carried the secret pregnancy of little Taehyung, eventually finding refuge when the surviving pack members resettled at the forest’s edge.

No one in the new pack ever knew the full horror of what Namjoon had endured. They only saw the serene, compassionate omega father who raised his son with boundless love.

Yet, looking at Jungkook now, strong, devoted, and burning with a pure, protective alpha fire, Namjoon’s hidden scars felt a little less heavy, warmed by the presence of a young alpha who looked at him not with cruelty, but with absolute, reverent worship.

The morning sun cut sharply through the cedar trees as Namjoon guided Jungkook step-by-step toward the outer borders of the pack village, where the familiar cluster of huts began to take shape.

Jungkook’s legs still trembled slightly beneath him, the physical aftermath of his first complete wolf transformation pulling at unaccustomed muscles. But what made his chest ache worse than the physical fatigue was the sudden, terrifying panic of separation.

As the edge of the village grew closer, several pack members, including Jungkook’s own worried family, hurried forward to meet them.

“Jungkook!” his mother called out, rushing ahead with a spare blanket and a relieved cry, while other pack elders stepped in to offer support. Taehyung jogged up beside them, grinning broadly.

“Whoa, look at you, man! You actually survived your first wild run without getting eaten by ghosts!”

Taehyung reached out to clap a hand reassuringly onto Jungkook’s shoulder, while his mother gently pulled the heavy cedar-scented robe tighter around the young alpha, trying to guide him toward their family’s hearth.

Yet, the moment hands reached out to pull him away from Namjoon, a violent, possessive growl rattled deep within Jungkook’s throat.

No. Stay back. His alpha instinct violently flared, rejecting the separation. Jungkook stumbled backward, refusing to let go of Namjoon’s side, his large hand instinctively catching the edge of Namjoon’s sleeve and gripping it with white-knuckled desperation.

“Jungkook, pup, it’s alright,” Namjoon murmured softly, looking up at him with deep, understanding eyes. “Your family is here. They want to help you settle.”

“N-no,” Jungkook breathed out, his voice thick, rough, and entirely frantic as his dark eyes locked desperately onto Namjoon’s face. He didn’t care about his family’s confused stares or Taehyung’s dropped jaw. A profound, invisible bond was already anchoring his soul to the older omega, a fierce, absolute imprint forged in the dark woods and sealed by the moonlight.

“Jungkook? Son, come here, let your mother help you inside,” his father urged gently, stepping forward.

“Don’t, ” Jungkook snapped defensively, his alpha nature flaring before he caught himself, his chest heaving as he stared down at Namjoon like a lifeline. “Don’t make him go... please.”

Namjoon’s breath hitched, a strange, warm flutter blooming in his chest as he felt the undeniable, heavy pull of the young alpha’s developing imprint wrapping around his own omega core. He gently covered Jungkook’s trembling hand where it still clutched his sleeve, offering a soft, reassuring squeeze.

“I’m right here, pup,” Namjoon whispered so only Jungkook could hear, his voice a balm to the wild storm in the alpha’s head. “Go with your family... rest your body. I’m not going anywhere.”
