Rina walked into the dining hall and sat down by the window, there no one would even notice her .She ate her lunch in silence ,thinking to herself " I should join the school feeding programme".
After break she walked to her classroom and sat by the window ,coincidentally a row behind the more popular girls in her class JSS 3 ,Talia ,Emerald, Iris and Gold ,giving her unlimited access to all the trends and gossip in her school.
"Felicia in JSS 2 B confessed to Dale !"Iris whisper shouted ,starting the gossip session in the middle of Mathematics period ,."Yes oh !,I heard he said no ",Gold whispered back ,"NOOO! he said he didn't want to date till SS1 ",Talia argued ,"SHUT UP ,he said yes, both of them were in the old music lab during break sef !",Iris said firmly ,forgetting to whisper ,"mm-mm, that is where he confessed . . .",Talia said shaking her head aggressively ,"Abeg! ,you guys should stop before they punish ..."Emerald was about to say until Mr. Chukwma ,the math teacher shouted "Emerald leave my class and kneel outside or the whole row will follow you !","but sir..", "No ,evrytime I'm in this class you and that group of yours will be testing my patience oya move !".Emerald looked at the others girls who could only hide their faces and wave sorry .Among the four of them Emerald was the smartest, "Nothing out of the blue ", Rina thought ,they always got punished for talking in class .
