Chapter 1
Hayden's POV
God, I hate football players! They're so damn entitled and think they deserve everything handed to them.
Unfortunately for me, though. My twin sister, Madeline is dating one of them. Peyton Hudson, co captain of our school's football team.
I am the captain of the hockey team but unfortunately for me, this season doesn't start until September.
You know, closer to the winter months.
*Hey babe, do you want to have lunch with us later?" Peyton asked my sister with his charming smile displayed upon his face.
"Sure sounds good." She said with her own smile on her face.
"Yo, pey? We have to hit the showers before lunch." Max reminded his best friend before heading in the direction of the locker room.
"Coming man." He called after his best friend kissing my sister on the cheek, before running after him.
I had one more class before lunch English class, with Miss Hastings. Lovely. Note the sarcasm, she's a real dragon Lady.
"There you are, I was afraid you wouldn't make it in time." My best friend since I was five years old Michael lewis, explained as soon as he saw me enter the room.
We have been neighbors ever since then, I don't know where I would be without him.
"Okay, class!" Miss Hastings called for everyone's attention. She had long blonde hair, crystal blue eyes and pale flawless skin.
She was about 5"11 in height, she was wearing a white button down shirt, pairing that with a beige pencil skirts and matching 6-in heels.
"For this lesson you all are going to be working in pairs of two." She explains to all of us, giving Stern looks to some.
".... If there are any complaints you will have to work them out yourself, there won't be any reassignments with the partners." She finished.
After that she began the usual lesson until class ended.
"Class before you all leave and head to lunch period, I will list all the names of the partners for the assignment." Mrs Hastings explained.
"Carrie Sanders and Toby Dominguez."
"Adam Wentworth and Jacob Tobias."
"Peyton Hudson and Madeline Williams."
"... And last but not least, Hayden Williams and Maxwell Jennings."
What. The. Hell. She did NOT! Just say that.
Am I seriously paired up with that jack-ass?
I don't know how long I was spaced out for but I was brought back to reality, by a tap on my shoulder.
