Remember the Rules
When I was small my mother would always tell me rules. It was my job, as a lady, to engrave those rules in my heart.
"Dearest child, a lady must not talk back to her elders."
"Dearest child, a lady must support her husband for he is the head of the household."
"Dearest child, a lady must present herself properly to the public when attending events."
As much as I respected her I had always wanted to feel what it was like to not follow the rules. I tried to push away my responsibilites for one night, but it resulted in a terrible outcome.
Ever since that night I never thought about the idea of being free again. If giving up my happiness will bring the people I love happiness, I will gladly throw mine aside.
Today, I believe that it is my job to marry a wealthy husband, for the sake of my family.
