Grape Nuts or Cornflakes CH1 review

"Love the work. The beginning is very unique and immediately adds conflict to the story. it would be nice if you could name the characters earlier in the story, to more immediately give the reader a character to grow attached to, but other than that, it's a lovely first chapter. The constant use of she/he instead of character names does lend emphasis to the husband/wife relationship and the opening dialogue reminds me a lot of Hills like White Elephants by Hemingway--the way the characters are talking about something huge (their marital distance) by talking about something benign. I like the focus on the man's thoughts in the first chapter. his internal dialogue feels really organic and relatable. I especially love when he's trying to remember who said a certain line on television/tv. I also loved the dramatic irony that happens during a lot of the phone conversations, with the characters often saying one thing while thinking another. Overall, good first chapter! (this is my first review here, so i hope i did all right!)"
