The concept of the Ghayb—the unseen world—has always held a quiet, captivating wonder. Growing up with stories of Jinn woven into Islamic folklore and tradition, I often pondered the boundaries set between our realm of clay and theirs of smokeless fire. What happens when those boundaries blur, not out of malice or chaos, but through a shared, sacred connection?
Smokeless Fire, Sacred Love was born from that exact question.
Writing this story required a delicate balance. I wanted to honor the rich spiritual traditions, cultural nuance, and reverence of a Muslim protagonist’s worldview while weaving a deeply atmospheric, ethereal romance. This is not just a tale of magic and mortal limits; it is a story about faith, free will, longings spoken in silent du’as, and finding light in the most unexpected corners of existence.
