Chapter 1

The sound of complaining and typing can be heard from a mile away. Most people haven't even finished last weeks work. Sounds like a lack of time management for me, because i've already finished this weeks work by 10 am.

Now all I have to do is wait it out, talk to some people, scroll on instagram, maybe hop on the game a bit. Of course since i'm a secretary I have to attend boring meetings and manage mr Lau's paperwork for him. But that isn't hard for me.

Life is a piece of cake when you're extremely hot 6ft tall and treat the world like a game of chess. Everyone is wrapped around your finger.

Especially Calissa.

No girl has ever made me interested. But from the very second I saw her at 14 when she nearly got crushed by the elevator, something in me snapped. She was jaw droppingly beautiful with the most cheerful and genuinely bubbly personality i've ever seen, I don't even know how she's always so happy. The first person to actually make me feel something.

Mackensie, a intern knocked on the glass door, interrupting my flashback.

"H-hey um I think I made a mistake I'm pretty sure I messed up mr Lau's schedule!"

"Hey breathe, it's a simple mistake, no need to get your pretty head wrapped up around it." I said slowly with a smirk.

"T-thanks." She said running out of the office blushing

Pathetic.

I stood up, smoothing down the front of my tailored three-piece suit, and adjusted my glasses. It was 10:15 AM. Mr. Lau was officially retiring today, and his daughter was taking over.

The door opened to show-

No. It can't be. It's been years since I last saw her. Calissa. This is a dream right?

She looked entirely different from how I remembered her, her face was no longer in a smile but in a expression that looked ready to kill.
