Summary

Elara Chen didn't come to Aldridge Preparatory Academy for the ivy-covered towers or the elite education. She came because a stranger promised to pay for her little sister's life-saving surgery, if she infiltrates the Order of the Ivory Tower and exposes its secrets. But the Order isn't just a literary society. It's a century-old machine designed to identify brilliant, vulnerable students and break them into something useful. And its president, Sebastian Vane, is either Elara's greatest enemy or her only ally. As she descends into a world of midnight rituals, buried files, and blackmail that reaches the highest offices in the land, Elara discovers that Sebastian is hunting the same monster she is: the people who killed his sister. Bound by lies and a forbidden romance that could destroy them both, they must survive the Order's psychological trials before the new moon, or become the next names erased from Aldridge's history. Some lessons aren't on the syllabus. The best ones are worth burning the whole school down for.

The Heir's Shadow

Biva: Quite good for a novella. Impressive writing style and we'll edited. Just one thing- Karla keeps referring herself to a stray cat and while at first it makes sense the analogy gets stale after a while.
