I'm Dating a Nerd

"Hey, Aibhlinn?" "Yes?" "What's for dinner?" I listen to her stomach growl. "Uhhh...." "Wanna get to go then?" Her eyes sparkle. "Food!" She puts her red, dirty converse on. "Come on Chumin!" "OK OK." That's my girlfriend Aibhlinn. We met in middle school, but didn't start dating until high school. I'm a little younger than her, but you wouldn't know it with how short she is. She tries to act like an adult, but fails. We've been dating for four years; we graduated together and now live together on the coast for her work. I'm in college for business and management while she does the Navy, online college, and weekend jobs online. "Chant with me Chumin! Food food food!" Oh yeah, she loves food. "Yeah, food, you got enough money for it?" She nods. "Worked and extra shift since we can't go grocery shopping till tomorrow; sales and coupons are tomorrow." "Cool."

We get to McDonalds and order. My name is Chumin, if you hadn't guessed from her saying it every five seconds. I'm the boyfriend and the normal one of the relationship. I'm basically the real adult. After we order we take a pit stop to Kroger for some drinks. They're cheaper and there's more of it. "Chumin they have the new magazine! And look, they have the reviews and sneak peaks for that anime I told you about!" "Noooo. We can't waste money on that." "It's not wasting if you love it." Ughhh. The reason I'm the normal one is because she's a nerd. "Fine." "Yay!" A big one at that. She's into almost every fandom you can find. When I say into.... it's an understatement. I like a few animes here and there; but, really, no one can compare to her level of otaku. She kisses my cheek. "Thank you thank you!" I smile. "Alright, let's go home." We check out and drive home. "You got studying to do Chumin?" "Yeah, but only a little." "I'll help!" I got an idea. "Yeah, OK. I have flashcards to memorize for some of my core classes. If I get at least 3/4 correct you have to let me record you saying percussion is the best section." She smirks. "You're on." She holds a card. "That's easy." I answer them left and right.... until we get halfway. "Chumin.... you suck at the math part." I'm frowning frustration. Yeah, and it's the one with the most cards! "It was supposed to be an easy win." I say that as a long sigh follows it. She snickers. "Guess not." I lay down on the couch and sigh again. "Daarn it." She sits next to me. "Guess percussion isn't the best section."

She checks her laptop. "Chumin there is a new Sharknado! We have to watch it!!" Uggh. "We just did a Sharknado marathon last week." She puffs her cheeks. "We.... are.... Watching it!" I laugh. Why do you have to like bee movies? The better question is how can I love her this much. Back in school, I found out she's been in love with me for about seven to eight years. Or at least that's what she told me. I kind of knew, but at the same time, I didn't. She just treated me like another dude and we made jokes really. I snicker. Maybe I'm just an idiot for now realizing it. She tilts her head at me. "What's so funny?" I shake my head. "Nothing's funny, just thinking about how much I love you." She blushes. "C-cool. Ima, go make popcorn." I smile; for being older than me she can be childish. We watch the movie and I feel ignored. She let our dogs in to watch it with us and they cuddle up all on her. "Tsk." She looks over and laughs. Her phone vibrates. "Ooh! Wanna go watch my sister's roller derby match?" I think about it. "Which sister does roller derby?" "Kaley." I smile. "Sure, I like her." "No, you like her husband." "Pfft, as if; I don't just like her husband." "Uhuh, sure." I remember a friend asking if I can hang out tomorrow. Ah, I'll tell her later; if I feel like going. She puts one of my jackets on. "Let's go." "We need to get you a jacket." "A, I already have some. B, it wouldn't smell as good." I shrug. "Whatever, you can wear it." We get in the car and drive to see Kaley's hus.... the roller derby match. "Yo!" I wave as I scream. Maybe I do like him more. I laugh at that thought.

We get in to see them getting ready. Aibhlinn sighs in relief. "Just in time." We watch the girls basically murder each other as Aibhlinn watches her sister. She looks at eh entrance and starts waving. I look to see another girl awkwardly wave back. Oh, crap, who is she again!? I saw her once when Aibhlinn took people to the movies. I just need to know her name. "Hey, Zoe!" She is the other older sister. Zoe laughs a little. "The only other person we are missing is Eloise; then all the sisters would be here." Aibhlinn shakes her head. "They're still in Tennessee, even thinking about taking her and going to Alaska. Zoe laughs again. "Well, she is the baby, and still in high school." Aibhlinn agrees. This is why I like Fernando. He's like me when it comes to this family. Not because of our race, but with how we aren't part of the sister bond they all have. Fernando starts shouting and we look to see Kaley is in the lead; Aibhlinn stands up with Fernando and they both start screaming. Kaley's face is probably so red. Zoe looks at me; she looks a little surprised. "You were at the movies, Chumin right?" I nod. "Ye, that's me." "Than you're her boyfriend. Cool dude; you look like a nerd." "You do too. The whole sister group does." We get in a fight of sarcasm; later Aibhlinn and Fernando join while we battle each other. The only person not in on it is Jaco who only really knows Zoe and Aibhlinn. Before we know it the game is over and we are at the bottom with Kaley. Now that I think about it. It's weird that Zoe and Aibhlinn both live nearby. Kaley lives with her husband in between Kentucky and Tennesse near where Eloise lives, and yet they still find time and money to visit.

We leave early and head home. "Hey, Aibhlinn?" "What's up?" "Do you, miss living in Tennesse?" "God no." Yikes, she took no time to answer. She hesitantly looks at me. "Do you?" I think about my family. "Kinda." She takes her eyes off the road and stares into my eyes, then looks back at the road. "Do you want to visit them?" "Huh?" "Next weekend. I can get off early Friday and we can visit your family." I feel nothing but joy. "Can we!?" She nods. "I should call my mom so she knows we're coming!" Aibhlinn smiles as she pulls into our driveway. My mother picks up. "Hello?" "Hello, so I was wondering, if you wanted us to visit. We have a weekend off so Aibhlinn and I thought of visiting." I can feel how happy she is. "Of course!" "Alright, we'll be over next weekend then." I said my goodbyes and told Aibhlinn we got an OK. We open the door and she goes straight to studying, and I watch a few TV shows. While in Navy she is getting ready to finish college and start her second college. I think she works too hard, but she thinks it isn't enough work She was planning on getting an actual part-time job, but I talked her out of it.... she gets stubborn. I get out bet set and walk over to the couch and see her asleep. I breathe heavily. I stumble her into my arms and try not to drop her. I get her on the bed and lie down sweating bullets. I sigh and kiss her forehead. I can hear her mutter. "Lo- you." I pat her hair. "Love you too. Good night.

I wake up to her getting on her uniform. "Off to work?" "Yep, see you for dinner. I'll bring back some stuff to make pasta." I sigh. "We have pasta all the time!" She frowns. "That's because it's like the cheapest thing!" I lay back down and groan. I feel her almost naked top half touch my back. "Love you." I get up and look at her. I kiss her and we end up making out. I hear her watch go off and she rushes to get dressed. She sprints out and I chuckle falling back into bed ruffling my hair. "Oh well; at least I'm awake now." Yeah, wish she stayed longer. Could've had some fun. Just kidding. I make some coffee she left for me. I get ready and head out to college; we stayed in this cycle almost perfectly for the whole week. Well, until Friday rolled around. I come home early to see she already packed our stuff. "Ready to go?" I gape my mouth open. "I just got here!" She laughs. "Well then get on some PJs cause we are going for a long drive." I look at her. "Think you can take the long drive?" She shows a wad of cash. "Gas and coffee." I snicker. "Great, I'm in your hands than." I get into some PJs and we immediately get in the car. She puts music on and after a while, I just fall asleep. I wake up to her rustling me. "Gotta pee?" I nod. "I can go for a restroom." I see we are at a gas station. "Where are we?" "Wes Virginia." "Already?" She nods. "Yep, just gotta go through Kentucky and part of Tennesse." I clap. "Impressive." She bows. "Now go pee. We still have hours to survive this drive." I Naruto run to the bathroom and come back to her downing coffee. I get back in the car and eat some snacks while she gets gas. I can see her tired face from here. "Hey, are you OK?" She jolts. "Of course! I'm as cools as a cucumber. Just eat your food and read some comics and manga." I look to see the pile of reads she brought. I look through her stash to see some X-Men comics. "Why not." I read for a couple of minutes while she pees; then I put it back as she starts the car. "Alright let's get to getting." She turns down the music, she does this when I fall asleep; probably to hear me snore. She says it's so I don't wake up from loud music, but it's so she can hear me snore. I sigh and turn on Aibhlinn's laptop to watch a movie. I put on earbuds in so she can concentrate, but after a little, I go lights out.

I wake back up to see the streets of Clarksville. "We're here!" She chuckles at my statement. "Yep, finally made it." I see the road that leads to my house and I start to get excited. We get to my mother's driveway and I see her waiting. "Mom." She parks the car and I immediately come out. "Hi, Mom!" "Chumin! It's so good to see you." I hug her and the feeling of her warmth made me feel brand new. I help Aibhlinn get out stuff to my room and she sways a little. "Tired?" "Somewhat." I set her on my bed and lay next to her, Once asleep I go to where my mother is. "Where is the girl? Uh...." "Her name is Aibhlinn. Remember, I've been dating her for a while now." She looks excited. "So is this the one!?" I smile and nod in embarrassment. She claps in joy. "I like this one more than the last one! She's very sweet and beautiful." Heh, yeah, my mother would call my last girlfriend a lizard. "She must be tired. Did she drive the whole time?" "We took a break at a gas station." "Awe, poor thing." She looks at the time. "Let's go grocery shopping while she sleeps. You know, make her something nice." I agree and leave a note so she knows where I am. Last time I left without telling her she thought I was kidnapped and went on a chase. I chuckle at that memory. "So, where is Dad?" "Out with the rest of the family." I laugh. "Go figure."

I get in the car with my Mom and she starts to drive. "So, ever thought of proposing?" "Huh, proposing?" "Yes." .... Proposing!? "I've never thought about proposing!" My mother gasps. "Who did I raise!?" She sighs. "How long has she loved you, not dating, but being in love with you?" "Well, it began in the sixth grade she said, and we got together Junior year. So eleven.... years." Her eyes widen. "She's been patient with you for eleven years. She is a tough cookie; eleven long, long, very long years-" "I get it it's been a very long time!" "You're lucky!" I scratch the back of my neck. "I was oblivious to it. I mean she acted the same when I was with anybody, even my last girlfriend was around." My mother sighs. "This girl amazes me." We get to the grocery store and we grab a cart. I look around to see all the couples. Married, married, not married, married, not married, married, married, married. I feel myself get tense. Eleven years; that's a long time to love someone. I start to feel guilty. Should I propose? Would it be rushing, or something that should have happened a long time ago? Maybe I should.... "Ah! I don't know!" The people at the store stare at me; I lower my head and walk away. My face turns red and I decide to just stay in silence. While walking around I hear my name get called out. I turn to see.... Aibhlinn's mother. "Chumin! What are you doing in town?" "Visiting my family." She smiles. "Is my daughter also in town?" "Oh, uh...." She painfully tries to continue smiling. "I'll take that as a yes. Tell her I said hi and that she should visit us sometime. It can't just be Christmas that she shows her face after all." "Yeah, I'll be sure to tell her. She's asleep right now from the twelve-hour drive." "Oh, I see. Yes, her father always hated making twelve-hour drives." She sighs. "Eloise has a marching band competition and she told her band teacher she'd bring food." "Oh yeah, I remember when we did marching band." "Yeah, Aibhlinn use to complain about woodwinds." "Aibhlinn didn't like woodwinds?" I question her and she looks a little in surprise as she shakes her head. "She said she only even joined it because you asked her to." I jolt. "I thought she was joking about that. She looks at the time. "Oops, gotta go. Well, it was nice talking to you Chumin." "You too, I'll tell her what you said." "Alright, thanks." She heads off and I breathe normally again. "Why was I scared?" My mother grabs my attention and tells me it's time to leave.

We get back home to hear someone taking a shower. "Must be Aibhlinn." I set PJs out for her in the bathroom and help my mother make food. "Make sure there aren't any veggies besides potatoes. It's the only kind she likes." My mother looks at all the vegetables she had. "How old is she, four?" "Nope, I'm actually in my twenties." We look to see Aibhlinn in the pajamas I brought her. She starts laughing as my mother turns red in embarrassment. "It's cool if you want to eat some vegetables. I'll live." My mother smiles. "I'll do half and half." Aibhlinn walks to me. "I had some PJs already set you know." "And yet you're wearing the one I set out." She smirks. "Indeed I am." I touch her wet hair and kiss her forehead. "Sleep well?" "Yeah." We go to play some video games when Aibhlinn stops me. "I'm gonna help your mom." "OK, you owe me a game though." "Alright." I decide to hide and watch to see what they talk about instead.

"Do you need help, Mrs. Martinez?" "Oh, you can call me mom if you want." "OK, M-Mom." My mother chuckles. "So polite, we don't have that many kinds of people these days." "Common courtesy can be a beautiful thing." Aibhlinn snickers at her own comment. "I see, you seem to be a nice girl." "Oh, I don't know about that. I'm told I can get annoying." "I hope not by my son!" "Well, we have had our fights over it before." She speaks nervously. My jaw opens a little, then I quietly chuckle. She can be too honest sometimes. "So, you've had fights?" Aibhlinn laughs. "Too many, over trivial stuff mainly." "Ah, my son is known for that." "He sure is." "How long have you loved my son, exactly?" "A long time." "So you know a lot of his tendencies right?" "I do, but I don't mind them." My mother's warm smile shows. "You ever thought of getting married?" I jolt. Oh crap; I listen in. This is my chance to know. "Well, yeah. I think about our future all the time. It's kind of childish I kno-" "It's not. I think it's good to think of your future." Aibhlinn scratches the back of her neck. The food is made and I casually come in to eat. We eat some food and talk about all the funny things that have happened up north. Aibhlinn clears her plate and winks at me as she goes back into my room. My heart skips a beat; I immediately clean my plate and walk over. I creak the door open to see her setting up the game console. I stand there. "...." She wanted to play a game!? I go in feeling defeated. Well, it would have been weird anyway. I mean, I'm at my mother's house. We play on the Play Station when we hear the door opening. We look out to see the family is all home. "Oh, crap." We say it in unison as my cousins come to say hello. We get packed in and I can feel Aibhlinn's anxiety. Aibhlinn doesn't like crowds of people, especially strangers. She tries to stay calm.

"Guys, we're trying to pl-" "It's fine Chumin. Let them hand out with us for a little." I look to see how hard she's trying to stay in one piece. I salute her. "Brave soldier." We have some conversations and even my parents join. Why all packed in my room? After a while, they scatter out as the sun touches the ground. Then it's just the two of us. "Oh, so I saw someone at the grocery store." Shee looks at me. "Really, who?" "Oh, um, your mother." She sighs and rubs her temples in stress. "Already frustrated I take it." "Yes, they can't just leave people alone." "You never do talk much about your family do you?" She shakes her head. "Why would I? They really don't want anything to do with me." "Why?" "They disowned me." Shock fills my body. What did she do to get disowned? "What drugs did you take!?" She looks at me in anger. "I didn't do drugs I'll have you know!" "What can be worse than that!?" She slaps me on the face to quickly end the argument. "Are you serious!? I got disowned for being in love with you!" She leaves the room. I stay there, frozen. "For loving me?" I think about it. "Oh.... I get it. It's because of my race." I leave her alone to give her some space. She slept in the guest room for the night.

The next morning I make her some coffee and quietly open the door. I sit next to her and wake her up. She groans and sees it's me. I can tell she didn't get a lot of sleep. "Morning, I made you some coffee." She takes the coffee and sips some of it. She likes it. "I'm sorry about last night. It wasn't an appropriate time to be making a joke." She inches closer to me and lays on me. "It's OK." I nuzzle my head on top of hers. We watch some Netflix on her computer. "Voltron, really?" "I already told you, Klance is the best!" I chuckle. "Yeah, yeah. Nerd." She laughs. After a while, we decided to go outside. "Fresh air." I sigh in relief as I speak. I look to see Aibhlinn with one of her notebooks. I look in it. "Which one is this one?" "Drawing." Probably yaoi. I look in and it's my mother. "Ooh, very detailed." "Thanks." She looks at her color palate and picks the color for her skin. The same skin that built a front between her and her family; made them disconnect. She, however, smiles as she strokes the pencil on the picture. "So what are you going to do about your Mom?" "I'll text her saying I can't come over to the house." "Alright, I guess." She smirks. "Trust me, there is no changing my Dad. He'll be a homophobic racist to his grave. Might as well let him be." The rare times when she talks about her Dad is when I beg. I can see why. She would tell me he would always just insult her. She became depressed and when they found out they blamed her for and called her weak. I didn't think it was right, I still don't think it was right.

She continues to add shading. She adds more to the drawing as I just watch. I lay on her lap to distract her. "Love me." She giggles. She brushed my hair with her fingers as I close my eyes. She breathes in relief. "Forgot how nice it is here." I snicker and feel her knee. I turn to look up at her. "It's almost as beautiful as you." She blushes and laughs. "You're such a dork." I tackle her and we play around. I hear her phone go off. She checks it, but then quickly turns it off. "Salespeople these days; never stop calling." I scoff sarcastically. "Well, you are made of money." She laughs. We go back inside for some food and play more video games. Our whole vacation was spent with my family. They all loved her and she even engaged in some of the conversations. We pack up and get ready to leave, and all my cousins crowd around her. "Bye-bye." She hugs them and says her goodbyes. I can see the water in my mother's eyes. I give her a hug. "Thank you." We head back home and I go straight to sleep. I wake up back at home in bed. "How?"

I look to see her uniform gone. "Work I take it." I get my stuff ready for school. "What kind of ring does she like?" I look at my phone. Kabelo might know. They did get along in high school. Then again, she cut ties with everyone except me. I text him anyway. He answers back saying to just snoop on her laptop. I look to see. "Darn, password." It's a four number code. I put her birthday in, nothing. I put my birthday in. "Heh, nerd." It opens me up to her home screen. "Marvel, DC, yaoi, hentai, COD, food, f....future." I open the file and there are pictures of dresses, flowers, churches, beaches, and- "Ahah! Rings!" They are unique and simple. That's kinda.... weird, most girls want sparkly rings. Then again, most. Aibhlinn isn't like most; she's one of a kind and the ring should represent that. "This is gonna be easy."

"This is not easy." After class, I went to the ring stores she had in the file. Now that I'm here though, I feel like I should think about it. "Do you need any help, or are you just browsing?" I suddenly get really nervous. "Oh, um, well. I've had this girlfriend for four years, and I just want to get her a special uh ring you know." The lady smiles. Why am I tell my life story, she probably doesn't care. Stupid, stupid, stupid. "We have just the thing. We make custom rings for people like you." I smile. "OK, great!" She gets a catalog on her laptop. "Do you know the ring size?" "Uhh. The sit-" No life story. "seven and a half, eight." She puts it in. I pick the band, jewel, and style. "Alright, I need your number to text or call when we have the ring in our store." I write my number on the sheet and my name on the receipt. "That was a lot of money." I wonder if she'll notice when I get a little tight on money. The lady snickers. "It was on the cheaper side in my opinion. Most girls want a bigger diamond." I smirk. "My Abhlinn isn't like most girls.

I head home to see her working on her laptop with the dogs. It's OK. Everything is going to be OK. "Hey, Chumin!?" CRAP SHE ALREADY FOUND OUT! "Yes?" "Want pizza for dinner?" I nod. Of course, she wouldn't have found out this quickly. She orders pizza and I wipe the sweat off of me. She leaves the room and I go on her computer and delete the evidence. "Huh?" Why is she looking at pictures of babies? I mean they are cute. I jump off of it. She's thinking about having kids already! We haven't gotten married or even had sex! I hear her footsteps get louder. We get the pizza and watch a movie. A sex scene comes on and I yell closing my eyes after what I witnessed. Aibhlinn laughs. "Hush up, you watch hentai." I hesitantly agree with her. We finish the movie and end up accidentally falling asleep on the couch. I wake up to her moving and wrap my arms around her squeezing the chub on her waist. She squeals and starts laughing. Last night changed my feeling about her in many ways as we fall to the ground and I see how vulnerable she is at this moment. I lower my face until our noses, just barely, touch. I then lower my head and leave a hickey on her neck. I can see her chills ad I breathe on her neck. "Ch-Chumin." I lick her ear. "Yes?" "I, um, have to go to, um. You know. Work." I look at the time. I get off of her and laugh nervously petting one of the dogs. "Sorry, Aibhlinn. Got caught in the moment." I continue laughing. She gets up and starts to walk to the room. "Weirdo." She gets ready for work, then leaves.

I stand up, ruffle with my hair and groan. "What the heck was I doing!?" What did I even expect to happen? She had work! Remember what happened last time! We both freaked out and stayed away from each other the whole night. We.... we just aren't ready yet. I sigh. "Better get ready for school." I sludge my way through the day. I get back home to her taking a nap on the couch. "Sleeping on the couch, again?" I get down on my knees to get a closer view. "I wonder.... when will we be ready?" I hear her snore a little. I touch her face, and cup my hand on her cheek. She smiles; then suddenly moves forward and kisses me. "Gotcha!" I fall backwards to the floor in surprise. I laugh. She sits up and yawns; stretching from her nap. Her phone buzzes. I go to check it, but she quickly takes it and frowns. "Tsk. Salespeople." Suddenly, I get the feeling it's not them. "OK, Aibhlinn. Who is it really?" She looks at me. "You know.... darn, I guess I wasn't that convincing." I sigh, waiting for an answer. "It's my little sister."

"What does Eloise want?" "She wants to come over." "Is it already fall break for them?" "I guess so." She takes her phone out as she speaks. "Who you texting?" "Hmm, oh Caiden. He is still going to elementary school so if he's on the break then she's also on a break." I ruffle my hair. "Isn't he that little boy in the pictures you have?" "Yep, still in my wallet. I didn't go see him because he was at his grandmother's." I nod. "I remember him." She gets a text. "Guess it is fall break." I pause and think about it. "Wait, so an elementary kid has a phone!?" "Oh, I got it for him. It was a Christmas and birthday present. He was born around Christmas so it's easy." "But a phone?" "He only has 911, his family, and me on that phone!" "I laugh. "OK OK, I get it; so is she coming over?" She violently shakes her head. "I'd rather die." "Harsh. You know she might be different from when you left your family." "I doubt it, she was sixteen when I left. I don't even know why she wants to visit when we both hate each other." "Man, sisters can be rough on one another." She gasps. "OK mister wise ass! She didn't start all the fights, but when she did she'd blame it on me. That's all she'd ever do! She was the baby so she got to be selfish. While the rest of us was ignored." I pet her as she speaks to try and calm her down, even just a little. I try to reason with her. "Even so, family is family." She sighs; you can tell she doesn't want to do it. However, she can't just stick to talking to just me for the rest of her life. She can't grow that way. I mean, she did say that she fell in love with me because she wanted to grow with me until death. So I need to help her before she stops growing the way she dreamed of. She scoffs, but then grabs her phone tightly. "Fine, but only for a couple of days. She'll get on my nerves quick." I shake my head and smile. "I doubt it."

We clean our house the next day for her arrival. Aibhlinn goes to the grocery while I finish cleaning. I hear a knock on the door and know, it's her. I open the door and there she is. "Hi, I'm Eloise. You must be Chumin." She checks her phone. "Yep, that's you." Must be social media. "Aibhlinn is at the grocery store so she'll be back soon. Come on in." She enters and throws her stuff on the couch, sits down, and lays her feet on the kotatsu. "Nerdy shit that's my sister's I take it?" "Some of it's mine." She gets back on her phone and starts texting someone. I leave to play some games. I would hear her laugh now and then, but I would never go see why. "It's too awkward for me." I hear the door. "Chumin I'm home!" Oh boy, here we go. I go into where I left Eloise to see her standing there in front of Aibhlinn.

It's a standoff! "Aibhlinn." "Eloise." "This was long waiting to happen." As Eloise spoke she took her sweatpants off to show she's in leggings and outdoor soccer cleats. WHY!? "Let's take this outside!" Eloise swings her leg to kick Aibhlinn with the rough bottom of her cleats. Aibhlinn dodges it and runs outside. Eloise follows, then me. "What the hell!?" Aibhlinn dodges her kicks and punches. "Enough!" She yells startling Eloise. She swings her fist back and punches Eloise; knocking her out. I sigh while she grunts. "Seriously! High school versus a woman who is not only older and bigger, but in the military. She's a fucking idiot!" I shake my head, but then got surprised by Aibhlinn's laughs. "I've wanted to do that for a long time." She picks up one of Eloise's legs and drags her inside. "Can't you be more gentle?" "Not with her. I told you she gets on my nerves." I sigh, "I'll go make some coffee and get some pain meds." She's gonna want them when she wakes up. I lay her on the guest bed and set her stuff in the closet. I walk back to the living room to see Aibhlinn watching anime with the dogs. I get the coffee and give her some. "Are you hurt?" "Nah, not that bad. I'll just be a little bruised." "Great, more bruises." She laughs. "I can't help it when I sleepwalk." I sit down and get on my laptop. "Got homework?" "Nope, just gonna play some Town of Salem." "We got you into that, remember that grasshopper." I chuckle. "Right."

Time passes and Eloise comes out in pain. "Damn, that hurt." I give her the coffee and pain pills. She gets a glass of water. "I don't like coffee." I drink it instead and sit back down and pet the dogs, a little irritated with her attitude. "So, what fun are we doing?" I look at Eloise as she speaks. I question her. "What do you mean?" "Well, I came to do something fun, so let's do something fun." What the heck. I hear Aibhlinn mumble back. Aibhlinn turns the T.V. off. "We're going to the pet store." I tilt my head. "Why?" "To get another dog silly. We were gonna get another one soon anyway." OK, I guess. We get in the car and go to the rescue center. "Huh, Aibhlinn, I thought we were going to the pet store?" Eloise questions Aibhlinn about the rescue center. I reply, "I think it's sweet." She sighs, "A dog is a dog I guess." We go inside and they automatically attach to every dog they find. "Hi, guys. Welcome back to our pet shelter. I take it you're looking for another dog?" Aibhlinn nods. "I'd like a chusky if you have one, if not another husky." She smiles.

We actually do have a chusky. His name is Ace." Aibhlinn jumps in excitement. "Really!? Can we see him?" The lady shows us the way. "We found him with his mother. Sadly, the other pups and the mother died. Ace is the only pup that survived. He's just a baby so be gentle." We see him and he has auburn red/brown and white fur. "He's cute." I smile as I speak. "Chumin, we HAVE to get him." I nod. "Alright, I'll buy the dog, but you have to take care of him." She salutes. "Yes, sir!" Eloise looks at us baffled. "Aibhlinn had the job so why doesn't she just pay for it all if she wants him?" I smile as Aibhlinn goes to pick him up. "Because she wants it to be equal for the both of us. I guess so it doesn't ruin my manhood." Eloise laughs. "What a funny couple." I blush a little and chuckle. "We are, I guess." I pay for the dog and we go to the actual pet store to get all of the supplies for him. "Chumin! Look how cute Ace is." I look to see he has some of his tongue's sticking out. "Almost as cute as me." Aibhlinn and Eloise laugh. Ace sneezes. "Awe, bless you." I tsk as Aibhlinn speaks. She pets me. "You jealous?" "No!" "Awe, now that's cute." "You're gonna get it later." She snickers. "Am I now. Can't wait to see." I puff my cheeks. Then I understand what she meant, and my face reddens.

I flip around and make an evil laugh. No matter what she says it's gonna go down. Eloise looks at me in confusion. "What are you laughing for?" "Tsk. Forgot you're here." "You wanna fight!?" I sigh. Not while she's here. Eloise gets a text. "Hey, I'm gonna spend the night at Zoe's so I'll see you guys tomorrow." I smirk. "OK have fun! Here's Aibhlinn's key to the house." "Why my key?" "She can't lose it with all these keychains on it." "True. Later Eloise." "Later losers." Perfect. We see her leave, buy the stuff, and go home. I pick her up and toss her on the bed. She becomes flustered and stutters a little. "Told ya." She snickers. "Yes you did." I go to grab the condom, but there are none. Instead is a sheet of paper. "Hahaha, got you Chumin. Have fun. -Eloise." I pause. Anger fills me. "She took my stuff!" Aibhlinn laughs. "We are never going to have sex at this rate." Aibhlinn goes into a smile of pity. "Do you really want to try having sex?" I nod. "Yeah. We've tried before, but now I actually think we can. Or, at least I could." Aibhlinn grabs her wallet. "I grabbed one when I saw her check where our room was." Tears roll down my face and Aibhlinn gets startled. "Don't cry about it." "I love you so much Aibhlinn! You're the best!" She smirks. "Well?" I smile. "Let's try it." Yep, we didn't have sex. It was going as awkawrd as we knew it would, until Ace came in and ruined it. "ACE!!"
