Summary

1. HOOK In a high-tech, interstellar society where covert operatives battle unseen threats from beyond known space, a battle-hardened commander leads a precision mission against an alien vessel — only to uncover something far more dangerous than an enemy: a mystery that blurs the line between human and otherworldly. 2. BODY Skyggeridder, a strategist with a reputation for ruthless efficiency, commands an elite team tasked with intercepting a hostile alien ship operating under suspicious circumstances. The mission escalates from tactical engagement to a high-risk infiltration, and somewhere behind the locked decks of that ship is a name no one in the briefing room said out loud — and a prisoner whose presence rewrites every rule the operation was built on. As Skyggeridder pushes deeper, he encounters evidence of forbidden research and a presence that doesn't behave like anything human — or entirely alien. At the same time, tensions rise back home within the powerful House he serves, where politics, loyalty, and past decisions begin to close in on him. Caught between mission objectives and his own judgment, Skyggeridder must navigate shifting alliances, emerging threats, and a situation that defies both science and doctrine. By the time the operation ends, nothing Skyggeridder brings home — including himself — will be what it was when he left. 3. STAKES With time running out, every decision carries irreversible consequences — not just for the mission, but for his team, his alliances, and potentially entire worlds. Control is slipping: over the operation, over the unknown forces at play, and over himself. In INFUSION, survival is not victory, power leaves marks that never fade, and the most dangerous transformation happens quietly — inside the self

Awakening

Rain fell like judgment from a starless sky. Darkness wrapped the forest in shrouds thick enough to stop a blade. Wind howled through the ancient trees, and he stood at the center of it—archer, sentinel, last line against something that should not be. Blue eyes cut the storm. A pale strand slid free; his hand tucked it back beneath the wide brim. The rain meant nothing. The wind, less. There was only the hunt, the hunted, and the mathematics of death.Lightning wrote. Thunder signed. First kill—an arrow taking the left eye of a thing that moved with corrupted grace and voiced sounds no human throat could bear. Thud. Thud. Thud. Heart-time. Another shaft—throat. Another fall. They came in waves meant to break lesser lines. Fifty arrows—never enough, enough for the pattern. None went wide. They bought distance with bodies, time with deaths, pressure for his dwindling supply. The last arrow flew true until alien steel shaved sparks. Wound, not kill. It cursed him in a tongue older than cities; the rules shifted. He closed his eyes and spoke words that tasted older than Jupiter’s moons. The string went to dust; green fire ate composite. The bow cracked—became two: one blade white as lunar ice, one black as the deep. For a breath his eyes turned green.A two‑hander rose to execute. He crossed light and dark and held the line. The impact rang across dimensions. Bones complained, vision grayed, mud claimed him ten meters, the black blade vanished into void. The white one remembered its orders, parried treachery from behind, and the sound it made was the sound of futures collapsing.Pain lifted her from depth. Consciousness came back like a system after fault. The left hand was an interface error: a million needles, heat outside, cold within. *The white blade,* she thought, trying the dead digits. *It was mine when the run cut out.*The world rendered by layers: a bay scarred by energy weapons; clearance denied. And the display—hardware impossibility. It hung in null‑grav; concentrate and reality flipped protocol: she saw herself from every angle at once, with readouts and damage. Optics flicked green to blue and back.*The archer. The dream. My specs.*She tried to speak—silence, heavy with prophecy. The image wavered; her reflection reached with one good manipulator while the other waited—standby, not broken. Pain cascaded again; she fell back into safe dark, carrying the archer’s parameters and the certainty that somewhere in the maze of probabilities smart blades waited to sing in her hands.
