A good story is more important than a social agenda
"I made it through Chapter 12 before deciding that the author was clearly going to keep putting their political viewpoints ahead of a rational story. Liberalism is wrong, modern education is wrong, city living is unnatural and unhealthy, the noble Indian and those who live in nature are superior, and so far black people aren't portrayed very well--we get it but it became monotonous and repetitive. For example, the black professor calls his colleagues "nigger" having explained that that word is an endearment when a black person uses it but racist and heinous if a white person uses it. The big strong white "hero" of this story walks among the black people like "a lion among jackals." You can make your points with more subtlety and less hyperbole. The technical writing level is good with few spelling or grammar errors. "
