A Mysterious Vampire Neighbour 🩸👀
"I really liked the mystery in this story, especially the part about Dante’s missing memories 👀 He’s 700 years old and there’s still a part of his past that he just can’t remember, and every time he tries, something seems to stop him. That honestly made me really curious about what happened to him and what those memories are hiding. 🕵🏻♀️ I also liked the mystery around Rose and why she affects Dante so differently. The whole five-year neighbour thing was definitely interesting too because this man really spent FIVE YEARS watching her from his balcony without actually talking to her 😭😂 The introduction of Victor and the mafia family also added another layer to the story, especially seeing Dante getting jealous 👀 One small thing I noticed was Rose’s career. In Chapter 2 she describes herself as a fresher scientist, but in Chapter 3 she’s referred to as a senior research scientist, while she’s only 21. I wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be some context behind that, so maybe clarifying it a little would help. Overall, I enjoyed these first three chapters! The mystery around Dante’s past is definitely what made me want to know more, and I’m curious to see what secrets eventually come out. 🖤🩸"
This feels fun
"Tropes like this usually get boring fast especially when it paints itself to be serious. However, with the dramatic wording and use of everyone’s roles I don’t get bored. In fact, I am quite happy to read about Dante and his strange powerlessness to Rose. It’s quite interesting how this man lost to his neighbor in a five year silent treatment war. Which begs the question as to how Rose has that power or maybe she is supernatural herself. Lily being the orderly best friend and trying to keep poor Rose alive. Then we get a mafia-heir thrown into the mix. What I like about it is that I don’t need to take it deeply. I can enjoy the experience, the detailed sensory elements and let the mystery unfold. Because once it does, then you know it’s a serious change. Plus even more of a surprise! "
Persuaded to come for the plot but came for the side characters 🤭🤭
