Compelling Main Character

"As someone who doesn't read fantasy fiction, and started on this book, which is the 4th book in the series, what has stood out to me so far is the different characters and how much history exists within this world. The main character, Safiya especially, is written with consistency. I also enjoyed how the larger storyline and her relationship with Zayden remains present in the background while reading about what is going on. I would recommend this for fantasy readers who enjoy character-driven stories. And I would also recommend starting from book 1 to get a good foundation. #Fresh"
