Amelia's pov

I search among the shouting and cheering students of Brook hills high school students looking for my best friends who I had to meet here since I promised them I did come after I was done with my study .

Am sure I probably look like a worried owner looking for its lost cat. I cover my ears slightly from the cheering crowd cheering up the bikers with their bikes racing with massive speed ,

I am not a big fan of all this type of events especially bike racing it feels too dangerous riding at such speed and I hate coming to noisy places like this but now I had to meet layla and sophie here.

my best friends anyway, they forced me into coming here .

" Where are you guys? " I said silently to myself, adjusting my prescribed glasses that perched on both sides of my nose.

I continued walking on the side of the race field .

" what would a boring nerd like you be doing here?" a female voice said from behind me and I rolled my eyes clearly showing I don't want to meet this person.

I turned around to look at the her face that was attacked with heavy make up .

I was tired of seeing this face everyday

" zoey… probably you would be of help today and tell me where my friends are around here?" I said in a bored tone

" why would I do that? are you lost miss 'know it all’? " she said

" when I actually thought you did be useful you weren't. so disappointing ",

I said and turned around about to continue my search when her hands grabbed my shoulder .

" how dare you ? ...maybe I will actually be of help and show you where they are and they are right here... " she said and before I could predict what will be her next move she pushed me into the racing field and I fell on the tracks.

" why did ..." My voice trail off the moment I heard the sound of a racing bike approaching.

I looked to my left side one of the bikes was coming with high speed I couldn't think of what to do next as my mind go blank.

I freeze with shock like i was waiting for the bike to hit me.

' screech '

the biker tried pulling the brakes as the tyres made a screeching sound.

he made the bike move in an opposite direction away from me and it crashed to the ground. the bike fell on its side.

the crowd stop cheering instead gasps and murmurs fill the air from what just happened .

" what the hell where you trying to do !" an angry male voice said from behind me.

I jolted back from the shock and looked around to find everyone's gaze on me I shake my head slightly as if to shake away what just happened right now I stood up from the floor and turn around.

it was no other than the school most famous biker and also the king of the school 'Aiden Brooks'

His sharp jaw was clenched in outrage with angry visible in his features .

" Don't just stand there am talking to you what was that you just did few seconds ago ?! " he said again by now all the bikers had stopped racing and where standing behind him their helmet in their hands looking at me.

"I don't know how it happened,I just found myself on the racing field then your bike was heading towards me and you crashed” I said looking at him as he was came closer .

His blue sharp eyes felt like they could pierce through me like needles.

" really ! Can you here yourself you just interrupted my race because you were tryna get yourself killed ! ".

What ! Why would I try to get myself killed for God's sake do I look like someone who was tired of living?

" I wasn't trying to get myself killed and if I was,I would have rather taken poison than being hit by your bike " I said my voice raising slightly I was angry about what he said .

" oh my God she is in big trouble now" I turned around when I heard zoey say

" you... You pushed me into the track why ? " I said to her pointing my fingers at her direction .

" why would I do that ? you are blaming me for your carelessness?" she sneered in a gentle tone unlike earlier

One thing zoey was good at doing was changing her behaviour in seconds!

Aiden grabbed my arms not gently but roughly

" look here ... If you wanna die so early don't look for someone to kill you or bear being the cause of your death.

if you think I did kill you by my bike and have to give you a grand burial then you should rethink your idea" he said and shoved me aside as he walked away.

The other bikers follow behind me. each of them gave me a judgmental look.

I scoff and dust my skirt, by now everyone was murmuring and walking away as the race was over .

" why would he think I wan to have anything to do with him or his stupid bike " I said still standing on the field as two girls came running towards me wearing worried looks.

Here we go,the two people that made me come here in the first place .

" we are so sorry amelia we saw what happened with Aiden " layla spoke up first and sophie nodded in agreement.

" yeah you are sorry " i said sacarstically "I told you guys I don't want to come here in the first place " I said .

My voice was calm and gentle I was slightly angry one thing I knew how to do well was hiding my emotions and bring them out when they are needed.

I don't want to shout at them besides they weren't the ones who pushed me into the field or shouted at me they just wanted me to have fun but they had to force me .

" we are so sorry amelia if we knew something like this was gonna happen we would have brought you here ourselves or don't push you into coming here at all " sophie said in her soft tiny voice as they try to catch up with me since I was walking away.

I didn't say anything until we got back into the school hallway I opened my lockers and start packing the things I needed for the next class into my bag .

" Amelia please say something " layla said staring at me

" I already said its fine " I said closing my locker as i hang my bag on my shoulder .

"We know you are still angry you hide your emotions too well " sophie said ," please forgive us " layla added as she pout at me and sophie did same .

they look so cute when they do this.

you can call that their charm because they do this when they want something .

" it won't work this time that's the same face that lead me into this " I said looking away but they move instantly to the direction i faced.

I was looking at them again I chuckle at their childish behavior with their pouting faces.

"ok fine " I surrenderd and they did a high five " but only on one condition" I added.

The groaned playfully.

" what's the condition now? reading books till our heads are too heavy to carry? " layla joked and sophie made a Small laugh.

" you are going nuts layla that is not my condition" I said while i try not to laugh at her sentence.

" then what is it?" Sophie said waiting for my answer

" you wouldn't try to drag me into doing something I don't wan to do no matter what it is " I said in a demonstrative manner as their mouth drops .

" oh common amelia is pouting included?" Layla said and I nod my head in agreement "that is impossible" sophie throws her hands in the air .

"ok then I take my forgiveness back" I said and make an attempt to walk away.

"ok fine condition accepted we promise. right sophie? layla said

" yeah we promise " sophie said and I nod my head in satisfaction with a smile.

The bell chimed signifying lunch break was over and lesson continues.

" we are having chemistry let's go I don't Want to miss the class or the teacher coming in before me " I start walking while they follow beside me .

"here we go again" sophie said as we walk down the hallway and I just rolled my eyes playfully.

We got into class and got a seat close to the window as we sat down .

The class got into a chatting mood with students chatting until the teacher walked in and lessons began.

i look at my textbook then at the teacher my mind flashing back to what happened at the field earlier.

I just shoved it aside and put my attention on the teacher .

' whatever happened in the field was just a mistake that will never happen again ' I said inwardly to myself but was I sure of what would come next .
