Chapter 1-The news
Levi’s POV
‘“what.”
“We have to go to a newly discovered planet?”
The questions fill the brief room as Erwin just annouced that we are going to a new planet. For research. Tch. Since when did the military have to do this stuff.
“We are going for research.” He states.
“Ooo I love researching new things! Are we just researching the area to see if its liveable? OH! Or lookimg for life!?” Hange says to excited for her own good.
Silence. As she mentions looking for life.
I speak up. “What’s the catch Erwin. Usually astronauts or space geeks do this stuff. Why are we?”
Utter silence. Erwin looks at me and a faint smirk appears.
“Ah yes. I knew you would ask something like that Levi. In fact, there is a reason we are going.” He pauses. The younger soldiers looking confused and almost worried. While Hange had a gleam in her eyes.
“There has been life spotted on this planet. The giverment has been watching this life form for about 5 years now. They want to make contact. The creatures dont look like the harm for no reason. But they want to send skilled soldiers if the missiom were to fail.”
It’s dead silent. You could hear a pen drop.
My eyebrow alightly raises. One of the younger soldiers, Eren, is lookimg around at his fellow soldiers as if they would have an answer. Hange suddenly burst into and exaggerated gasp. “LIFE HAS BEEN SPOTTED! OMG OMG OMG! And we are going to be the first to interact with them! How exciting!!” Her smile could split her face in two if it was any bigger.
“Yes we are heading to this planet at the end of this week. Planet XOZ-32.”
The end of this week. Tch.
He continues, “It will take 2 weeks to arrive there. And on out Journey we will see footage of these creatures. Talking and their daily life.”
Hange squeals while the younger soldiers look like they’ve just been told the are on death trail.
‘2-weeks…tch..’
“Now the rest of this week I want you to pack and be well prepared for this mission.”
‘Great.. just great..’
