Instead of begging for love, he begins tearing apart the female lead’s twisted psychology piece by piece. Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Reincarnated!

I am Max Willem.

Right now, I’m in prison.

Why?

I’m a possessive man, especially when it comes to women.

I’m 24 years old, with above-average looks and an upper-middle-class status. I have left countless women in tears while searching for the right partner, according to my own standards.

Just like the woman standing right in front of the prison.

The beautiful lady in a sharp business suit highlighting her figure, with facial features perfect enough to make any celebrity feel competitive, and messy white hair with dried blood on her head, standing in front of the prison is—

Sofia Vance.

The CEO and founder of a newly established company—not too big, not too small.

And also, my girlfriend.

Panic, terror, and sorrow were visible in her eyes, face, and body language.

She was practically begging me.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t understand your feelings and acted impulsively. Please forgive me. Please. It will never happen again.”

Why is she telling me sorry?

Because today, she took me to a business party where a businessman tried to mess with me, thinking I was just a freeloader clinging to Sofia.

So I just simplytook a bottle and hit him on the head.

Hearing the noise, Sofia, who was in the middle of a conversation with a few businessmen nearby, turned and realized the sound had come from my direction.

She rushed over and saw me standing there with a broken bottle in my hand, while another man was sitting on the ground in front of me with blood dripping from his head.

She immediately rushed to take the broken bottle from my hand and threw it away.

Then she went to help the man I had just hit.

Maybe she was trying to cover for me.

But at that time, I was furious.

The only thing I could think about was that she had helped the person who had mocked me.

So I took another bottle and hit Sofia on the head too.

Seeing me hit even my own girlfriend, someone called the police.

Sofia was also confused.

Not angry.

Confused.

She thought I was mad because she had touched another man while helping him.

So she quickly defended herself.

“Max, I didn’t mean to touch him. I was just trying to help him.”

I didn’t answer.

Instead, I walked away and went to the washroom.

By the time I came out, the police were already there.

Sofia also learned what had happened.

She tried to convince the police, but everyone said they had seen me hitting both of them.

So her influence didn’t work.

The police arrested me.

Sofia didn’t even go to the hospital.

She followed me to the police station.

And now, in the present, she is standing here in front of me.

You can ask, “Why is she so desperate for my forgiveness?”

It’s because she knows me perfectly.

In the past, I have left my girlfriends over silly matters, like trying to get an autograph from a male celebrity, taking a photo with a guy I don’t like, or even just giving a heart emoji to one of their male friend’s posts.

Sofia knows that if those silly matters were enough for me to leave someone, then what she did today could be enough too.

And she also knows that I almost never go back to a girlfriend after I’ve left her, no matter how much she tries to explain herself or apologize.

And Sofia loves me so much that she can’t afford to test my patience.

“Punish me if you want, but please forgive me this once.”

Because she didn’t make a serious mistake, I had already decided to forgive her.

But I would still make this a lesson for her.

So, with a cold voice, I asked,

“When am I getting out?”

Hearing me, she lowered her head and replied with hesitation and embarrassment.

“Sorry. It’s my fault. I’m not powerful enough to get you out right now.”

Though her influence was enough to make me free, the businessman I had hit wasn’t a small shot either.

He tried to keep me in jail but couldn’t outmatch Sofia.

So he poured all his might into insisting that he would make me spend at least one night in jail.

Because of that, Sofia had failed to get me out before morning.

Seeing that I didn’t react, she quickly added,

“The police won’t let me stay here for the night. I’ll be in my car in front of the police station. If you need anything, just shout my name loudly.”

I couldn’t let her sleep all night in front of the police station.

And since I had already planned to forgive her, I didn’t think for long before answering.

“You just touched another man and still think I’ll let you sleep somewhere around me?”

I paused.

“Go to the hospital first. Then go home, wash your hands ten times, and wait for me.”

At first, she panicked when she heard me.

But when she understood the hidden affection behind my words, a smile spread across her face.

She nodded like her life depended on it and spoke.

“I’m sorry for disgusting you. Right now, I’ll go home and wash myself 100 times.”

I frowned coldly.

“What did I say?”

She immediately corrected herself.

“Okay, okay. As you say, ten times means ten times. And, of course, hospital first.”

I sighed inwardly.

She knows how to please me.

That’s why she has been with me for almost a year.

I also told her not to come in the morning to pick me up.

I would come myself.

She wanted to disagree, but when she remembered that I hated people who disobeyed me, she simply said,

“Okay. Please take care.”

Then she turned around and left.

Though the nighttime hadn’t been a good experience, when I finally got out, the air felt incredibly refreshing.

The car sent by Sofia was already waiting at the station gate, and I got in.

Since I was sitting in the car with nothing to do, I scrolled through my phone.

That’s when I found a novel.

The novel was about a female lead who loved her husband, the main lead, but was kind of twisted-minded.

She loved her husband and wanted him all to herself.

But she believed that if she showed him too much love, he would eventually leave her.

So, she deliberately got closer to her assistant to keep her husband jealous and interested in her.

The main lead tried his best to keep the female lead away from her assistant.

But that only made her twisted belief stronger.

After trying for a long time, the main lead eventually lost his mind.

Then, while cooking, he accidentally burned himself, and the entire house caught fire. and the main lead died.

After his death, the female lead regretted everything so deeply that she never went near another man for the rest of her life.

She lived a sorrowful life.

Eventually, six months later, she also died in sadness.

After reading the novel’s summary, I couldn’t help but frown.

“What a pathetic main lead. He can’t even handle a woman who loves him.”

“And what a twisted-minded female lead.”

“Ha... what a pair of stupid people.”

I shook my head.

“They clearly love each other, yet they’re also the reason for each other’s deaths.”

While I was still thinking about it, I suddenly heard a loud boom, followed by the screech of brakes.

Before I could understand what had happened, my vision went dark.

When I opened my eyes again, I found out that I wasn’t in the car.

I wasn’t in a hospital.

And I wasn’t at home.

“Where am I?”

I looked around.

The room was incredibly luxurious.

After observing my surroundings, I noticed a phone nearby.

I picked it up.

The phone unlocked using my face.

I froze.

I looked at the screen.

Then I looked at my reflection.

I touched my face.

“This isn’t my face...”

My new face was ridiculously handsome.

Too handsome.

After checking the phone and looking at my unfamiliar reflection again, I finally realized something.

Somehow...

I had reincarnated as the main lead of the novel whose summary I had just been reading.

Incidentally, his name was the same as mine.

“Max.”

But his family name was different.

“Miller.”

I remained silent for a moment.

Whatever.

How can I go back?

Maybe Sofia is still waiting for me at home with my favorite foods.

Just as I was still lost in thought—

A notification sound suddenly came from the phone I was holding.

I looked down at the screen.

Ding!
