More Than Enough

"Spoiler- I came for the arranged marriage and stayed for Aarohi and Papa. The chapter where she asks him to call her "beti," and he finally says "I want to hear it," is the first time I teared up reading a Inkitt story in a long time. The wound is set up in chapter 1: the uncle in the car at fifteen, and Papa saying "Of course she is." Here it finally comes out, and Papa doesn't defend himself, which is why I believed him. Mukesh Uncle's son, and "Mera beta abhi aayega," made the whole house feel heavy, and I loved that Papa came to the door first this time. The romance works too: the pottery date, the pastry from the bakery, and Vihaan's "Are you stupid?" in his office all made me smile. I'm also holding onto open threads. Aarohi hasn't told Vihaan about her old crush, I suspect he's hiding something about school, and I want the "why me" answered. I'd shave half a star for the middle repeating itself: she blurts something and covers her mouth, the family teases her after every date, and she cries in bed more than once. I'd read the next chapter immediately. I need to hear what Aarohi has been carrying."
