The Teacher

Roy had behavioral problems - had is the key word.

His teacher, he can't remember her name, he didn't want to, never listened to him. She was an uppity woman that couldn't see past her own nose. She always spewed on about empathy, but it was just a word in a dictionary to her, she had no way to practice it.

One day, after a wise retort from Roy about the teacher's lack of empathy, the teacher was left sobbing as Roy and his brother Hutch went home from school.

Roy thought he had won.

The teacher was crying alright, but she was crying for Roy. Roy's behavior was absurd to her and it needed to be corrected. Roy thought she was crying because she had lost the verbal joust, because she had suddenly seen the errors of her ways, boy was he wrong.

NO ONE, talked to her like Roy had.

Talk to me like that how could that little psychopath. I am the greatest person and the best teacher in this school, my mother and father made sure of that.

If you ask the teacher, or anyone that knew her when she was young they would say she had a wonderful upbringing. What people see, and what people remember aren't always truth.

The teacher was the only daughter of a rich businessman in New York City and a sedated stay at home mom. The teacher went to all the best private schools and was often top of her class despite her troubles at home. Her mother ignored her every day. Her father would get home late at night, the teacher was fast asleep by then. Almost every night he would go into her room and give her a kiss goodnight. He would caress her head until she woke up gently.

"Hey honey." her father said as she opened her eyes. "Been good today?"

The teacher would groggily shake her head yes.

"That's my girl, always so good, always so smart."

The teacher always loved to hear her dad say that, she couldn't help but give the biggest smile every time.

"Your mom loves you honey, I hope you know that. I love you too."

The teacher nodded. The smile had faded by this point, she knew what was coming next.

Her father slithered his hand under the covers and down the teacher's pajama front. "This is love, this is how adults feel what each other are feeling." he said. "Do you feel that honey?"

The teacher nodded, as a tear dropped onto the sheets.

Her father unzipped his pants and pulled out his erect penis. "This is how I feel your feelings - your love." he said as he stroked to climax, shooting the semen onto the teacher's face. "That warmth you feel, it's my love, I love you honey, do you love me?"

The teacher nodded, the sheet was soaked with tears by now.

This was one of the first instances of an incident like this, but it went on for many years after. Eventually as time passed and it kept happening the teacher could get through it with dry sheets.

The next day at school the teacher had a special day planned for Roy. Roy and Hutch arrived and walked into the classroom and the teacher acted as she always did - perfect on the outside and screaming on the inside. No one treats me like that, no one, especially not some psychopath!

"Get to the box Roy." the teacher said with authority.

"What? I haven't even... Whatever teacher, hold a grudge much?" asked Roy.

The teacher ignored him.

"Get to the box Roy. Get to the box Roy." Hutch kept saying while smiling and clapping his hands. Hutch still didn't understand what it all meant.

Roy did as told and got into the box.

The rest of the day went as it always did when Roy wasn't around. The teacher floated around the classroom from child to child teaching them one on one. It was a wonderful sight to behold and would put a tear of joy in any parent's eye. Here, a teacher that really cared, and that loved what she was doing, you could see it in her face, and in her movements. The children were smiling and laughing, they were really engaged in what the teacher was showing them.

The day went fast - for some.

"Time to go already?" the teacher said after looking at the clock. "Okay class, let's clean up and go home."

Roy was sweating and was hungrier and thirstier than usual today, unlike other days the teacher didn't even open the box to give Roy lunch.

The students all hugged the teacher before leaving the school room, as they always did. The teacher gave her complete attention to the students as they shuffled out.

"Enjoy your three day weekend children!" the teacher shouted as she waved goodbye.

Once only Hutch remained she closed the door and walked over to him.

"Hutch, Roy is a psychopath and has to stay in the box, do you understand?" asked the teacher, in the nicest tone you could imagine.

Hutch regarded her carefully, and much more focused than usual. Any change bothered Hutch, but despite that he said that he understood what she was saying.

"I understand teacher."

He didn't.

"Good, you're welcome to wait for him to learn his lesson." the teacher said as she walked to the door.

"K teacher I wait." he said.

The teacher looked back before shutting the door and turning off the lights. Hutch was sitting there rocking back and forth, waiting, staring at the box. A small sound could be heard coming from the box. The thickness of the box muffled the sound greatly, but there was definitely a continuous beat emitting from the box if listening really close. Roy was pounding on the inside of the box, it wasn't budging.

The teacher shut off the lights, closed the door and locked it.
