Prologue
Low lights settle over the crowd throughout the night club. Everyone who was on the dance floor was probably sticky with sweat as they grind themselves against each other.
Others hung back and enjoyed the aerial artist that spun in various twist and turns from either curtain fabric or circular rings that had them suspended up in the air. The club was pretty spacious but every corner was filled. Vibrational hums from the music thrummed through everyone with an electric pulse that helped move their bodies to the beat.
Bodies on bodies grinding away. Some even getting too hot and heavy for the main floor. Guest that people probably wouldn't even deem important silently filling in special rooms and disappearing behind the magnificent black oak doors.
Masks being placed on before their owners clicked a button just underneath the tvs frame. So small you could miss it by a land slide.
A buzzing swept in the air as the wall slips open quickly and efficiently. Permitting the guest to walk down the dark halls of club Insanity.
A place where insanity consumes you for all that you are. Twisting and turning you into a new version of yourself.
A place where death and destruction are born and thrown together into a whirlwind of chaos.
He loved it though.
He lived for it.
The thrill he sought when he waged unknown wars between feuding family's. All by just sitting in the dark and watching prized possessions get sold to members of organized crime syndicates.
Dirty gangsters, mob goons, thugs. Anyone who had a bad rap sheet that came looking for answers.
Answers only Elijah had.
At times anyways.
It was almost time for him to disappear, to creep into the backrooms and watch the spiders that crawled into his web.
He slipped on his black leather gloves. Gripped his cold whisky and threw back the rest. Heated anger had been sizzling inside him for the past hour now. Cold amber eyes watching the way hands manhandle soft curves. Curves that were hugged by the snug corset she wore.
Elijah seethed. It pissed him off to no end as he watched her struggle to get away. Every time she did, he always found a way to get his hands back on her.
It simply made her fed up. The look on her face one of severe irritation. Heading for the back door, possibly for some fresh air.
He almost seemed content. Enough so to let her go outside on her own. Of course a guard would be called to make sure his lady was okay.
That contempt stopped once he noticed the same man creeping behind her. No doubt with horrible intentions.
Rage. That's what Elijah felt.
It was only a matter of time before he got his hands on him. To rip him to shreds. Pieces even. His body parts spread across New York.
Yea. It sounded like a plan. One that gave him a thrall. Deep in his bones he knew this rage would be satisfied.
He'd make sure.
