⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strikingly Human, Emotionally Deep, and Eye-Opening

"As someone completely new to this genre, I had absolutely no idea that ABDL or sissification fiction even existed before picking up this book. It prompted me to do some reading to understand it better, and I say this with zero judgment: The Tabitha Transition is a brilliant, psychologically complex piece of storytelling that uses an extreme premise to tap into a deeply universal human truth. The author masterfully uses the ultimate contrast—taking a 7-foot-tall unhoused person who represents physical intimidation and societal neglect—and placing them into a hyper-feminine, infantilised modeling role. What could have been a simple trope becomes a profound exploration of identity. For a character who has faced the brutal, exhausting realities of homelessness, reverting to a heavily monitored "baby" persona ironically becomes a safe haven and a way to shed adult trauma. Tabitha’s psychological adjustment to this forced performance resonated with me on a deeply personal level. Growing up, I was constantly expected to perform for visitors—to sing, put on a face, and be "on" for others when all I wanted was to just exist as a person, not a performer. Watching Tabitha navigate the heavy internal shift of being put in front of a camera, while breaking down and rebuilding their ego, felt incredibly validating and empowering to read. This book takes a highly misunderstood genre and handles it with incredible depth. It is far more human, emotional, and thought-provoking than people might expect. Highly recommended.
