Prologue- The Night he forgot
Four years ago, Lee Ji-hoon had believed his life was already planned.
Music.
Seventeen.
The studio.
Concerts.
Long nights surrounded by headphones and unfinished melodies.
He had never imagined children.
He certainly had never imagined a family of his own.
That night had started innocently.
A private gathering after a particularly exhausting period of promotions had turned into hours of conversation, laughter, and music.
And somewhere between midnight and sunrise, Jihoon had met Y/N.
She wasn’t supposed to become important.
She was a CARAT who happened to be at the gathering through mutual friends.
She knew who he was, but she never treated him like he was untouchable.
She talked to him like he was simply Jihoon.
That was what he remembered most.
Her laugh.
Her warmth.
The way she had looked at him when he admitted he was exhausted.
“You don’t always have to be Woozi,” she’d told him.
He had smiled.
“I know.”
“Do you?”
He had looked at her for a long moment.
“I think I want to.”
Neither of them knew that their lives were about to change forever.
The next morning, they went their separate ways.
Jihoon returned to his world.
Y/N returned to hers.
Neither knew that something had already begun growing inside her.
Something that would eventually have brown hair, light-green eyes, and the exact same serious expression Jihoon made whenever he was concentrating.
Four years later, Jihoon would meet his son.
And realize he’d been a father all along.
