Not The Apple Pie
Katherine baked an apple pie. The scarecrow wanted a piece but Katherine would let him eat any. "No pie for you, sorry," she said.
"No fair!" The scarecrow pouted.
"It's fair, end of discussion!" Katherine snapped.
Just then, a crow flew in and ate the pie in one gulp. Katherine was devastated. "No, not the apple pie!" She sobbed.
The scarecrow got a pencil eraser, and erased Katherine from existence. Then with the snap of a finger, another apple pie materialized out of nowhere.
"A lovely apple pie, just for me!" The scarecrow exclaimed. "Good night, folks!"
this was cute and saucy. You write just like FictionWriterDude...heard of him? same cadence...same sense of humor...it's uncanny. But this type of humor makes me smile. I'm a big 'Airplane' fan, so...we're probably kindred spirits beneath the skin. lol. and yeah, suddenly apple pie sounds good.
