Riveting story with great characters

"I absolutely loved this story. The main characters were interesting, rich characters with flaws but still likable. There were just enough surprises to make the plot gripping. The author managed to capture the essence of the story primarily in dialog, with entertaining but natural feeling conversations. The overall writing was exceptionally good. The story was good enough that it made its few flaws stand out more. By far, my largest issue with the story was a lack of speech tags in the dialogue. It often took me multiple readings to figure out who said what. On a few cases, there were speech tags, but they were misplaced. I have not yet read anything else by this author, but I certainly plan on doing so. I hope they improve that aspect of their writing. I would certainly recommend this story to almost anyone who ikes mysteries."
