Chapter 2 hidden
The next morning, the kingdom was unusually quiet. The birds were silent, and a strange mist covered the castle grounds.
King Alaric stood by the window, watching the mist slowly move toward the castle.
Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the castle door.
“Who could that be?” the king wondered.
A young messenger entered, looking frightened.
“Your Majesty,” he said, “I have come with a warning. Something dangerous is coming to the kingdom.”
The king looked at him carefully.
“What have you seen?” he asked.
The messenger lowered his voice.
“I saw a dark figure near the Forbidden Forest.”
The king's face became serious. He knew there was a secret about the forest that had been hidden for many years.
That night, King Alaric decided to investigate the mystery himself.
But he did not know that someone inside the castle was secretly watching him...
