DEMONBOUND: The Innkeeper's Daughter

"What a delightful story! A slow burn romance through accidental forced proximity - literally. A binding spell that goes terribly wrong when Lena takes on her first Guild Quest to kill a demon. Using a damaged Staff, she manages to bind herself to the demon, Marshrick, but also in turn, binds him to her. They share pain, cannot harm each other and cannot be any further than 30 paces from each other. Marsh is not impressed with his predicament and Lena, still wanting to continue her adventure, talks him into traveling east in search of the Mage who gave her the Staff to practise with. And so a memorable, dangerous, and comical journey unfolds. To earn money they complete Guild Quests that take them towards where the Mage was last seen. There are some very tense moments where they fight for their lives and some very very funny moments that will have you laughing and smiling as you read on. I adored Marsh and his silent suffering, and cheered Lena for all her positivity and bravado. "
