10/10 ✨
"The book succeeded to hook me in since the first chapter. The book has only a short number of chapters but the writing style and plot makes it feel like you are reading a book from a well known author. I really enjoy that the story has a load of emotions and drama. Sam and Annie's characters too are written wonderfully. Overall, the book is amazing and I recommend anyone to read it.📖😍"

1 chapter read
"I have just started reading this story. This is my first story on Inkitt and the first page itself is quite catching and interesting. Going to read it whole!"
Very good story
"This story is very good and the plot is very interesting ! "
Cool
"I liked the way both Sid and Sam interacted with one another. I feel kind of sorry for Sam, when he rushed to save Annie, who clearly did not need saving. Cool story, very cool indeed."
Very nice, it felt too short
"I liked this story a lot. It is quite unusual, because it is a short story (only 16 chapters!) with a plot usually used for a 300-page novel. The story is well written, the style is very pure, I really enjoyed reading it! I am a bit disappointed by how theplot is concluded, in the way that it feels too short to tackle the intensity of the plot and emotions. Many sub-plots remain unexplained or untold about, and i would have loved ot read a bit more. But i also understand that it is part of this unique, "pure, simple writing style" so all in all, i am glad i got to read this."
A Love Written in Bloodlines
""Perspective" had me hooked from the slow-burn between Sam and Annie, that quiet, from-afar longing before either of them knew the truth made the reveal hit so much harder. The bloodline feud and the healing stone gave it real stakes, and the ending was beautifully bittersweet... though I'll admit, after 500 years of war between their families, I was hoping for a bit more peace and resolution rather than heartbreak. Still, such an emotional, well-crafted read! 🗡️🤍"
Surprisingly good
"This was surprisingly good, and I ended up finishing it in one sitting! From the very first few chapters, I found myself drawn into the story. They were written in such an inviting way that I immediately wanted to keep reading and find out where the story would go. I really loved the development of the story and how everything unfolded. I thought the chapter lengths were great too. They were long enough to give each chapter substance without feeling overwhelming, which made the book very easy to binge. One thing I would have loved to see more of was the development of Sam and Annie's relationship. I would have really enjoyed watching that transition from the initial attraction to them slowly realising that they secretly have feelings for each other. I think seeing more of that progression would have made their relationship even more satisfying. I also felt that some of the attack scenes were a little rushed. I would have loved to spend more time in those moments and see them unfold in greater detail, especially given how significant they were to the story. And then there's the ending... 😭 As a romance author, I naturally want my happily-ever-after, so let's just say the ending wasn't exactly what my romance-loving heart was hoping for! 😂 Spoiler alert: I would have loved to see Sam and Annie get their HEA. That said, despite my feelings about the ending, I was genuinely surprised by how invested I became in this book. Overall, this was a really enjoyable read. The writing was good, the story pulled me in, and the characters kept me invested until the end. Definitely a book that I’m glad I picked up! ❤️"
Perspective
"I only read eight chapters, but the premise is intriguing. One thing I noticed, though, is that the narration sometimes reinforces a point after it has already come through clearly in the scene. A character’s feelings, motivations or observations are shown through their actions but then explained again afterwards. There are also moments where the same character trait or idea is established several times across consecutive scenes. Chapter 8 is a good example. We already understand that Kabir feels responsible for what is about to happen, and the line, ‘Whatever happened on Sunday, some part of it would always belong to him,’ reinforces that perfectly. But this is then followed by further thoughts about his daughter, his mother and what the consequences might cost him before he finally makes the call. For me, the point had already landed. I also found the transition into Chapter 6 quite sudden. After spending the first five chapters predominantly with Sam and establishing his ordinary life, Chapter 6 abruptly shifts to Kabir. Although his introduction is interesting, it made me realise how long it had taken to reach the central premise of the story. By Chapters 7 and 8, there is still no sign of Sam, and he was the character I was immediately invested in. Kabir’s storyline is interesting and clearly important, particularly as this is where the larger Rudrakul/Yadivakul conflict finally begins to emerge, but spending three consecutive chapters away from Sam made the shift feel quite pronounced and highlighted how long it had taken to reach the central conflict."
