A hooded figure strolled through the kitchen of his home, whistling a cheerful, upbeat melody. He made his way toward a sleek, futuristic-looking refrigerator and pulled the door open... What he saw inside caused his merry whistling to cease almost instantly.
—I’m out of ramen...
Judging by his tone of voice, he sounded utterly devastated by this tragic turn of events—so much so that a gloomy, depressive aura practically enveloped him from head to toe. After all, ramen had been his absolute favorite food since... well, forever!
—Oh well... looks like you’ll have to go grocery shopping, Naruto.
The man (Age: Unknown), known as Naruto, possessed a semi-tanned complexion, standing at an imposing height of1.96m (6′5″). His build was broad and heavily muscled, exuding a quiet, raw strength. He sported spiky black hair with a striking gray sheen, accompanied by two distinct bangs that framed his face, drawing attention to eyes as dark as polished coal. (He was also quite well-endowed—xdxd). His attire consisted of a full-body black spandex suit, draped beneath a sweeping black cloak that swallowed his formidable frame. A hood concealed the upper half of his features, adding an air of mystery. Finally, he wore a pair of gray tactical gloves paired with navy blue combat boots, laced tightly with bright orange strings.
Our beloved protagonist reluctantly stepped out of his secluded cabin, nestled deep within the heart of a dense, overgrown forest, and set off toward the nearest settlement. It didn’t take him long to reach the bustling edge of the town.
—Lately, those agencies have really been stepping up their attempts to capture me...” Naruto muttered in quiet amusement, his sharp eyes catching sight of several suspicious individuals loitering near the local police detachment.
«They will never catch the undisputed master of pranks and hide-and-seek!» he thought, a wide, boyish grin spreading across his face. Despite having lived for hundreds of years, he still retained the pure, mischievous heart of a child.
A ragtag group of mercenaries—comprised of an Asari, a Turian, and a Salarian—carefully observed the movements of everyone in the small town, paying exceptionally close attention to the human populace.
—Anyway, my ramen is waiting for me...
Not even a second later, a sound erupted that caused every single soul present (both human and alien alike) to flinch violently.
BZZZZZZT! WOOOOOOP!
The blaring, deafening siren made the hairs on Naruto’s arms stand on end. He knew instantly that a dark omen had arrived on their doorstep, and he was far from the only one harboring that creeping sense of dread.
—We’re under attack! someone screamed from the panicked crowd.
—Are they pirates?!
—I don’t think those are pirates—look!
—Black ships?!
The spiky-haired man shifted his dark gaze toward the heavens. There, eclipsing the sky, was a massive swarm of unknown vessels of varying shapes and sizes. It didn’t take a genius to realize this was no drill.
In the year 2148, human explorers on Mars unearthed the remnants of an ancient, space-faring civilization. In the decades that followed, those mysterious alien artifacts yielded breathtaking technological marvels, unlocking the ability to travel across the galaxy to distant stars. The cornerstone of this incredible technology was a fundamental force capable of manipulating the very fabric of space and time.
This force was widely regarded as the single greatest discovery in the entirety of human history.
But the myriad civilizations of the galaxy called it... theMass Effect.
Naruto’s brow furrowed deeply. He couldn’t sense the life energy of a single living being aboard those descending dreadnoughts, a realization that thoroughly perplexed him.
«This isn’t a pirate raid...»
Without a second thought, he levitated a meter off the ground, hovering weightlessly for a few fleeting moments. Then, with a sonic boom, he shot into the sky at breakneck speed, rocketing straight toward the invading alien armada with every intention of taking them head-on.
—W-What?! a villager gasped in absolute disbelief.
—That’s our guardian!
—He’s back...?
—Yes! He’s returned!
The townsfolk watched with a whirlwind of mixed reactions—ranging from absolute shock and stunned silence to overwhelming, tearful joy—as their solitary, enigmatic neighbor flew into the perilous skies to shield them from the merciless attackers.
—I guess I won’t be able to hide here anymore... —Naruto murmured to himself, the distant cheers and gasps of the town’s humans reaching his ears—. It’s a damn shame. I really liked that forest. But none of that matters right now because... I’M BACK! —he roared, materializing a condensed, swirlingRasengan!in his right hand.
Our dear protagonist slammed into the vanguard ship. A colossal Geth dreadnought literally shattered into hundreds of thousands of jagged pieces the very microsecond theRasenganmade contact with its pitch-black hull. Less than a heartbeat later, a catastrophic secondary explosion forced everyone on the ground to squeeze their eyes shut and scramble for cover to avoid being grievously wounded, or worse, killed by the ensuing shockwave. The source of this second blast? The ship’s Mass Effect core, completely unable to withstand the sheer, unadulterated devastation of Naruto’s attack.
A Few Hours Later
A squad of heavily armed personnel disembarked rapidly from a stealth frigate, only to grind to a sudden, stunned halt mere meters from the ramp, paralyzed by the sheer scale of the devastation laid bare before their eyes.
—Commander Shepard, ma’am... Is this...?
The29-year-oldwoman, known as Jane Shepard, possessed a fair complexion and stood at1.70m (5′7″). She sported semi-short crimson hair that fell cleanly to the nape of her neck, framing piercing green eyes. Her attire consisted of a pristine set of Onyx N7 armor, which prominently accentuated her voluptuous figure.
The Commander nodded slowly, a small, knowing smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she surveyed the sprawling graveyard of shattered warships littering the unpopulated plains. Countless mangled, synthetic robot chassis were strewn among the smoldering wreckage.
“This was undoubtedly his handiwork... We should be thankful he was here to halt the Geth invasion in its tracks.”
The only individual profoundly displeased with this revelation was the lone alien of the squad. He glared at the monumental feat of the Guardian of Humanity—or, as the Turians called him, the ”Demon“—with naked hostility.
—...
Nihlus, the elite Turian Spectre, wasn’t nearly as fiercely racist or xenophobic as his fellow Spectre, Saren. However, like any self-respecting Turian, he was absolutely far from thrilled that a certain unnamed nightmare had been operating in such close proximity to him... He silently prayed to the Spirits that he would never, ever cross paths with that cursed demon in his lifetime.
In the year 2157, humanity made its very first contact with an intelligent, extraterrestrial species known as the Turian Hierarchy. One might expect such a monumental milestone to be immortalized in history books as a beautiful, unifying day—the moment humanity finally realized they were not alone in this vast, wondrous universe, right?
Wrong. In reality, the exact opposite occurred. Unfortunately, it didn’t just stop at a “bad” first impression. The contact was nothing short of horrific, and frankly, even that is a gross understatement.
The alien species that initiated this bloody “contact” with humanity called themselves Turians. They served as the de facto space police of the known galaxy and stood as one of the ruling leaders on the Citadel Council. Obviously, they were far from a pacifist race. Their entire society was militarized right down to the bone, and historically—before joining the Citadel—they had been a ruthlessly expansionist and intensely prejudiced Empire. Even today, such toxic mentalities remain stubbornly prevalent within their most extremist, conservative circles.
Anyway, returning to the main point: the contact, as you might have guessed, was completely devoid of peace, plunging humanity headfirst into its very first interstellar war against a hostile alien threat. The entirety of the brutal conflict bottlenecked on a colony world named Shanxi. After the Turian armada decimated the modest human fleet defending the planet, they prepared to touch down and brutally occupy the colony with their overwhelming ground forces... The besieged inhabitants wouldn’t have stood a chance of surviving even three months on their meager, dwindling supplies. Yet, despite facing utter annihilation, humanity vehemently refused to surrender to the alien invaders.
But humanity had something—or rather, someone—who intervened just as Shanxi was on the precipice of falling to the hostile occupation. A hooded figure descended. He systematically slaughtered every single alien soldier that dared to set foot on the planet’s surface. Then, moving with the terrifying majesty of a living deity, he launched himself into the vacuum of space just above Shanxi and annihilated almost the entire Turian fleet in the blink of an eye. The massacre was over so abruptly that the enemy warships never even had time to register what had hit them. Not even a single black box survived the cataclysmic destruction... Curiously, and somewhat miraculously, humanity suffered zero casualties on the ground during this divine intervention.
Ever since that fateful day, he was known by a myriad of titles: The Protector of Humanity, The Protector, The Hooded One, God, Our Hero, Bro, Buddy, Mate, Pal, Homie, The Guy, etc.
But unanimously, across the stars, everyone agreed to call him the“Guardian of Humanity”.

Omake 1
It was the dead of night. Naruto sat perched on the sloped roof of his cabin, gazing up at a canvas of stars scattered across the endless cosmic void.
—I miss you all so much... Mr. Kratos... Mrs. Faye... brother Atreus...
Our beloved protagonist reached over his shoulder and unslung the Leviathan Axe from his back. He stared at the masterfully forged weapon with an overwhelming depth of sorrow, gripping the handle tightly as he exerted every ounce of his willpower just to keep from weeping.
—I am doing my absolute best to keep humanity safe from the terrible dangers that lurk out there in the dark.
Naruto gently traced his right hand over the ancient, glowing runes etched into the steel of the mighty Norse weapon. Despite its unfathomable age, it remained in pristine, battle-ready condition—a testament to the profound care and reverence its current wielder showed it.
—You know... so many things have changed. They have evolved so rapidly, in such a short span of time, that I can’t help but be amazed.
The spiky-haired man fell into a prolonged, reflective silence, his dark eyes shimmering with a heavy, pensive gaze.
—The day might eventually come when they won’t even need me anymore... Pirate attacks on the human colonies are dropping by the day. I’d say they are almost non-existent now.
Naruto couldn’t suppress a fond, hopeful smile at the prospect of witnessing humanity finally claiming its rightful, hard-earned place in this vast, unforgiving universe.
«Sometimes I wonder... When will I ever get to see you all again?» he thought, his mind awash with heavy melancholy.
The man with eyes as dark as coal gently set the Leviathan Axe down by his right side. Leaning back, he laid flat against the roof of his humble cabin, determined to find some small measure of peace and simply enjoy the quiet beauty of the night sky.
