[AQUA]

DAY 1

Finally, I found a signal! Hey, Cocoa. This is Aqua. If you’re listening, please call back. I’m sorry, okay? I didn’t mean to say all that bitchy stuff. Forgive me?

Anyways, I went to our secret place. You’re not there and I can’t survive in the cabins so I left.

Bzzt…

Here’s the thing, call me when you can.

Bzzt…

The world just went crazy and I can’t find you or anyone…

Please, Cocoa. Please be safe.

Bzzt…

DAY 2

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or is unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

Hey, it’s me again, still alone. And you know, I had to stay awake the whole night!

We both know I can’t do that. I always end up sleeping early –

Bzzt…

Stupid thing… sigh. Okay, back to my storytelling. I have to be awake the whole time because you never know when those pesky beings come.

Bzzt…

I have to make it up to you somehow, right? I really hope that you’re okay.

DAY 5

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or is unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

Hey, Cocoa. I barely survived what happened yesterday! There was fire everywhere! I nearly got burned alive! It did do something to those zombies outside but still. I.COULD. HAVE. DIED.

I mean, me?

The great Aqua?

Bzzt…

Sorry, I’m ranting. But when you’re in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse, it doesn’t matter whether you’re the toughest nut to crack. You’re still like everyone else.

Bzzt…

I’m really scared right now. Scared shit. Where are you, Cocoa?

DAY 7

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

There, got it working again. I know, this seems irritating but… I really need to talk to someone, I’m not stable lately…

Bzzt…

…feel so paranoid, you know? I mean, who won’t? I barely get a nice 8-hour sleep anymore.

Get this, I…

Bzzt…

…shot some people I used to know. Blood on freaking everywhere.

Bzzt…

I bet you’re holding up okay on your own, though. I mean, you never lied about your passion in RPGs and action films so I bet…

Bzzt…

… one of the people whose happy that this damn Apocalypse happened. Right?

Bzzt…

It really sucks that you’re still not talking to me. You’re not the type to hold grudges.

DAY 9

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

I can’t believe that I finally managed to sleep well! Yes!

How about you? Are you sleeping well?

Bzzt…

Well, I won’t be able to sleep if not for the fine old couple who helped me when I barely escaped the horde. You know, I’m afraid of almost EVERYTHING and how I hate getting dirt on my clothes…

Bzzt…

… but I have to do it… And I barely held on…

Bzzt….

KLANG!

This... This is so wrong… Why is this happening to me? Sorry… I just… I just can’t…

Bzzt…

… a few days of surviving…

Bzzt…

I really have it bad, huh? Lady Luck must really hate me.

DAY 11

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

I … I don’t know what to say anymore. I mean, are you even there? It’s stupid hoping that you are. You might be dead for all I know.

I just want to apologize. For everything.

Bzzt…

I’m really sorry.

Bzzt…

DAY 13

The number you have dialed is either out of coverage or unavailable.

Please leave a message after the beep.

BEEP.

….

BANG

Bzzt…

[COCOA]

DAY 2

> Compose a new email

Cocoa here. Managed to get a decent hiding place.

So, Aqua. This is weird. We’ve never fought this long. That’s why before anything, I forgive you. I always do, right? Man, realizing that now, there’s a real need for us to change, don’t you think?

Cocoa out.

Stay safe, my baby bunny Aqua.

DAY 4

> Compose a new email

Still no signal… Can’t find a signal in the outskirts of town. To keep me from going insane, still going to send you this email. Don’t worry, one day everything will be fine.

Cocoa of the outskirts, out.

DAY 6

> Compose a new email

Had to kill persistent zombies. Even hard keeping those filthy mouths of my skin. Car exploded into flames. Damn life, really.

Hope everything’s going well for you, Aqua. Keep me with that hope.

Cocoa out.

DAY 8

> Compose a new email

No longer the outskirts boy here, but still out of coverage area. Still gotta send emails either way, because you know, hope and all.

Guessing that you think I am amazed by this zombie shit, but nah.

Would be amazing if I have a gear and food and all that. But that’s just in games. In real life, all you have is your crappy phone, your crappy self, your crappy clothes, and some crappy weapon.

While you stay in a crappy barn, typing real fast and being on alert at all times.

Hope someone’s there for you at least.

Cocoa out.

DAY 10

> Compose a new email

Finally found mah sis: Malt! Take that, apocalypse! That’s the good news.

Bad news, you’re still out there.

Don’t worry. I’ll find you, I promise. Don’t lose hope, baby bunny and stay safe.

I’ll definitely find you.

Cocoa out.

DAY 12

> Compose a new email

Getting closer to the city and barely have any juice left on crappy phone. Gonna get this all charged up when I see the chance.

Malt’s damn demanding though, not like the city will move someplace else.

But I’m getting there.

I’m so anxious about not being able to get in touch with you early. I tried, I swear.

But it will be over soon. Malt told me that the city still has salvageable electricity and wifi.

So, wait for me baby bunny Aqua.

Cocoa out.

DAY 14

Found the Survivor’s Camp and trust me, there is still plenty of people there. Phone is near death so let me charge. Will get back to you in four hours.

It’s easier to call but I’d probably just blubber and be incoherent. I know how much you hate it when I get too emotional on you.

Went through all your voicemails, Aqua. Listened to all of them. Again and again and again until I’m satisfied.

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to leave you. Would have answered all your calls if I didn’t stupidly go to places outside coverage.

Don’t worry. I’m sure, you’re still out there somewhere.

You won’t kill yourself, right?

I know you won’t.

So, stay safe and alive, Aqua. I’m coming for you.
