What is your opinion?

Great plot, poor execution.

"I’m not saying this to make the author feel bad, or maybe I’m the one that doesn’t understand or resonate with the author’s style of writing, but the writing sounded too mechanical, it read like something that was generated from AI. There is a certain kind of emotionality I look forward to when reading, it just wasn’t evident in this. The plot was compelling, but the prose was exhausting. The story had a lot of emotional language, but very little of it actually felt emotionally resonant. It felt like the author was constantly trying to make ordinary moments sound profound. It felt like every sentence was trying to carry some emotional or poetic weight, and after a while, it became exhausting. The constant attempt at emotional depth, for me, ended up feeling artificial, every observation had to become a little profound statement or an emotional takeaway. Every time something was happening, the narration would dress it up in this very earnest, almost poetic way, and after a while I just got exhausted. It felt like I was being given line after line after line that was trying to mean something, instead of the writing just letting the story happen."
