Summary

Everyone has a name. Evelyn Voss is running out of hers. Once a respected occult historian, Evelyn destroyed her career by insisting that certain names were never meant to be spoken. When a corpse marked with her childhood nickname is discovered beneath Blackthorn Cathedral, she is forced to confront the secret that ruined her family. Something ancient is awakening below the city. Known only as the Name Eater, it does not murder its victims. It removes them. Their faces disappear from photographs. Their records turn blank. Their loved ones forget they ever existed. Now it has chosen Evelyn—and with every passing night, another piece of her identity is stripped away. With Detective Mara Quinn as her only ally, Evelyn has seven nights to uncover what happened to her six sisters, break the ritual created by her own bloodline, and prevent the creature from feeding on an entire city. But the thing beneath Blackthorn does not merely want Evelyn dead. It wants to wear her name.

In the two week delay, the second week has no depth and could have been better dramatized with at least two of the three agreed meetings occurring, less time spent away with Mia and more time spent with indifference and contradictio...
