Chapter 01 dream's
Sifra had always believed that dreams were meant to be chased. She wasn’t born into a wealthy family. She didn’t have everything she wanted, and there had been many nights when her mother had quietly worried about money while pretending everything was fine. But Sifra had something more powerful than money. She had a dream. She wanted to study at a university in France. She wanted to learn, to build a career, to see the world beyond the small life she had known. She wanted to become someone—not for fame or wealth, but because she wanted to change her family’s life. And after years of studying, sleepless nights, endless applications, and moments when she almost gave up, Sifra finally received the news she had been waiting for.A scholarship. She had done it.The dream that once seemed impossible was finally within her reach. She smiled as she read the letter again and again, her eyes filling with tears.“Mama… I got the scholarship.”Her mother looked at her for a few seconds before pulling her into a tight embrace.I knew you would,” she whispered. But neither of them knew that this was only the beginning. They didn’t know how much life was about to test the girl who had spent years dreaming of a better future.
Sifra lived in France with her mother and her eleven-year-old younger sister. The three of them had always been a small family, but to Sifra, they were her entire world. Her father was no longer a part of that world. He had left when Sifra and her sister were still children, divorcing their mother because he had always wanted a son. When his wife gave birth to two daughters instead, he blamed her for something that had never been her fault. And then he walked away.He left behind a woman who had no idea how she would raise two little girls alone. But Sifra’s mother did it.She worked through the difficult days. She sacrificed her own happiness for her daughters. She made sure they had food, clothes, and an education, even when providing those things meant giving up everything for herself.Sifra had grown up watching her mother struggle. She had seen the tiredness in her eyes. She had noticed the way her mother counted every penny. She had heard her crying quietly at night when she thought her daughters were asleep. And somewhere along the way, Sifra made herself a promise. One day, she would change all of this. One day, her mother would never have to worry about money again. One day, her little sister would have everything Sifra herself had once wished for. That was why the scholarship meant more to her than simply getting into a university. It was her first step toward giving her family the life they deserved.Sifra thought her hardest days were behind her.She thought the scholarship was the beginning of her beautiful life. She thought France was where her dreams would finally come true. She was wrong.Because sometimes, life gives you exactly what you prayed for…only to take you somewhere you never imagined. And Sifra had no idea that the greatest chapter of her life was about to begin..... continue later.
