Interesting
"I am a Spanish speaker and for me reading in English can be difficult and sometimes I get bored. I have to say this book is keeping me interested. The Author has a great imagination and transports me to the scene of the story."
Incredible!
"Upon reading the blurb and seeing that it was about primates, my first thought was that it would be similar to Planet of the Apes. The monkeys and a serum created to enhance their intelligence are the only things that match. Everything else has completely spun off to something original and intriguing. The first chapter had me hooked and I unfortunately have to stop for the night, but I have made it up to chapter 6 and plan to continue tomorrow! The characters are all unique and I love the realistic romance between Laralee and Carl. I love how well you capture the emotions in each scene. I honestly don't know what else to say besides how wonderful it was. There's nothing I can find that I disliked. This is a wonderful story and I wish you the best of luck with the contest!"
A Fun Read, Good Pacing
"This was a fun story to read on a cool morning before the fire. The concept was interesting and since I am a Sci Fi fan it was close enough to my genre to enjoy the idea of creating monstrous creatures for use in battle. The story moved along quickly and I liked that there was no graphic violence or explicit sexual scenes. I also liked the transition to the younger generation. Beverly's writing style is fluent and clear, with enough description of the setting to put the reader in the scene. This is a fun quick read if you enjoy thrillers that don't make you think too hard, and that are without too much violence. Enjoy!"
Couldn't put it down!
"Oh, my gosh! What a great story! This one had me on the edge of my seat for hours! Spent a rainy afternoon and half the night reading this book! Scientists with secret experiments, primates, some good, some not so much, and then all the human drama that comes from being stranded on an island with nothing but the clothes on their backs and their imagination and creativity! How would you survive? This is a story of survival against the odds. And a story of how far science can take us. Do they go too far? Pick up this book and decide for yourself."
