Chapter 1

It was a normal day in the life of Zoe Porter. Chilling on her bed, reading the latest book she got from her school library. Still..something didn’t feel right. She has been getting a feeling in her gut that something was different. She hasn’t left her room in the last few days because she was busy catching up on her favorite shows and reading her massive collection of books; it was like any other school break for her. She suddenly needed to pee which wasn’t surprising because of how many water bottles she downed in the last few hours. She got up and went to her bathroom. After doing her business, she stood up to wash her hands. She looked in the mirror briefly and had to do a double take. She didn’t recognize the girl in the mirror. The girl that looked back at her had straight blonde hair and emerald green eyes. her lips were full and looked only a little smaller than Kylie Jenner’s and cotton-candy pink. She had a small diamond stud as her nose ring and big diamond earrings . The only similarity Zoe could see was that the girl had three piercings on one ear and two on the other. Her normal traits were gone. No more extremely curly mousy brown hair, or boring brown eyes. Her normal band-tee is missing replaced by an off the shoulder lollipop pink shirt and light blue skinny jeans with holes at the knees and thighs. this definitely wasn’t her style. Before she freaked out about not being in her own body, she was going to need to change. walking back into her room in a daze, she stopped in front of her closet. Pulling open the doors, she stared in disbelief. These weren’t her clothes. There was a lot of pink and purple. Some blue and green. But there was one thing for certain. There was almost no black whatsoever. It was the complete opposite of what her wardrobe looks like. It’s terrible. How’s she gonna survive?? No black? Or dark colors? Only the stupid baby blue and lollipop pink. Zoe was digging in the closet for what felt like forever before she found a black Sublime crop top.

‘This will have to do,’ Zoe thought. She left the baby blue jeans on but put on a maroon cami she found with the tee on top. She saw a large looking batman sweater in the back. It looks like it was hidden to be honest. She had trouble pulling it out. Deciding against the sublime tee, she pulled over the sweater. It was two sizes too big and perfect. Her bed looked the same as it did in her actual room but everything else was different.

The walls were a light pink with Eiffel towers and love posters everywhere. The TV that is in the room is a lot bigger then her normal 30 inch one. There were tons of random stuff everywhere on the walls. There were Christmas lights around the headboard of the bed and around the vanity. Nowhere she looked had any books. Although her bed itself was the same, her books that she was reading became magazines and the Roku remote into an amazon fire TV remote. All her normal band posters and her messy room is gone. It became the most girly room she’s ever seen. There’s a ton of make up set up next to a face mirror and what looked like six outfits were on a rack next to a full body mirror.

She sighed and sat on the bed. She picked up her phone which didn’t look like it changed and turned it on with relief. That was short lived because she noticed the lock-screen was of “her” and what looked like her boyfriend from the way he’s holding her. She cringed in disgust. The guy looked like a total player. She opened the phone and she thanked her lucky stars that there wasn’t a password. She opened her messages and laughed. “She” was just like herself. She only talks to four people but she has a ton of contacts. She scrolled through “her” messages and she saw something that shook her whole body. Why was this on there??

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
