Chapter 1

It is not that I am not a wise one it is nothing to do with us what he did to our son. It matters not at all when we can enjoy his company and matter to him as he is so likeable and just to us both. We get to share him and mate with him and why not?

"He killed my son."

"Well, he should have known better than to run off with a trollop."

It is a fact of life when a man's son is taken from him he is unfairly accused of being the only one there."

"Well, you are not enough Selcuk."

"I always knew are a cruel woman."

"I was killed while with a fourteen-year-old whore. So what?"

"You should not have tried."

"I treated that like a son and now he has taken everything everyone including you."

"Well, it is just as he said it is a young man's world."

As the ghost passed there was a ghastly scene his dead remains were in the hall and everywhere because it was a ghost trying to creep in. What did it matter to her when he was alive, she had no feelings for him when he died, she had less.

She enjoyed her garden he tried to tantalise her with the grapes of his entails she did not budge. No one entered her garden and that made her feel good no one would see her and her supposedly son mating. So, it worked out well.

When the chickens escaped, she went to her rival and friend and asked for the chicken back. If she had eaten it she took some money or something from her. She knew where the coins were and did nothing to make it more real than the sting of money. Her rival had nothing no means.

The crudities in both the houses were such one friend fobbed the son to the other and she mated with him. In her disaster she did say he did not kill her only son. He replaced him from her affections. My dear she was a lady a lady did not have any feelings.

To shower in her own home and make love was her only thing. She made them who behaved naturally her scapegoats and then culprits would never darken her doors again.

"Look I made my world the happiest in the worst possible place in the world."

No one doubted her words.

"Suppose someone killed your son would you devil worship that man"?

"Of course not."

"She did."

"I do not understand?"

"Her best friend was divorced and then went a little senile so that was her son's fault."

"Well, he had agreed to marry her and take care of her and she had property."

Property meant so many years of wonderful life, and they could have mated and settled into being invited everywhere and now they had limitations.

"When he settled on a servant then elopement followed then the shame the woman went to pieces."

"The friend."

"She did not kill herself but never spoke to her again."

The acrimony the arguments the set downs and all that difficulties and the dropping the acquaintance and then what else could happen to the whole cesspit? When Atiye walked into a room the woman would leave it got so bad that invitations would be cancelled.

How she missed her friendship with her friend, but she found someone so wonderful to take her place that she did not only have become youthful, but she skipped for joy like a child.

"Atiye?"

I am a happy widow and do not love them who do not give me things. In this wonderful world of making ends meet I am the one who does not. I am the power behind them who see straight. I do not straggle I do not make anyone unhappy by being poor.

Take a few things here and there then you can cover a multitude of sins.

I kicked my husband out then he died with a whore and then my son died in ambush by my lover and his cousin and then we became the most important family in Cyprus.

My son the doctor was always doing good and making no money. He asked me to fork out money to pay for his tuition and I did. Then he made a disastrous commitment and his cousin rightly killed him.

"Doing good makes no one anything."

"Not now silly ghost I am walking on the remains of me and the whole thing is over. I am over there is nothing left but old giggling old age."

"I am here."

"But I am dead."

"That is right."

"Well, is it not time you forgave your son?"

"Never."

"What about the husband?"

"Let him rot into pieces."

The kill joys did not say anything because it was none of their business. The bustling town became the sin bed it is today.

Today his kid was coming on a visit. The little man had fathered a child.

"When do I kill her?" asked Gold. Gold gives a year or two was almost in there with them. The young man had killed them all bit by bit. He is called the Serpent, and he dines on his own venom.

Someone went in front of me so they had to die first before me and then I too will die. It is a custom of the Serpent. You first then I. I take the riches and then you fork out the killers. How do you like to be killed as if placing the riches of splendour in front of one.

"No, the child is safe no one kills her she will live until nature takes its causes." said Mess.

"But Auntie."

"Shush."

The thing was then Gold went to sleep with her son. She had kicked out or killed everyone else. She was getting lonely. She sold or rented the trees to pay for coffee. She did not dislike her poverty. She glowed in the dark the darkness of sin.

She just went on too long life was too expensive and did not always end right.

"Neighbour your children are here"?

"How much?"

"Two days' worth of...."

"Okay."

The footsteps of the old man who was a ghost walked and as he walked only with the snakes the wind made her pale. It was going to be a difficult time. A difficult life as Gold spent with fury because she could not mate and could not kill, she walked as safely as she did.

"Don't go too near your husband has come to receive you."

Just as well he is older now and I am younger. I am not going to be chased like a headless chicken I have a plan.
