What is your opinion?

My honest opinion

"Really enjoyed it, even if it was still incomplete. Enjoying more than one romance story was definitely not on my 2026 bucket list. I do not even like romance! The author just proved me wrong TWICE already."

My opinion

"I think Chapter One has a really interesting foundation because it begins with a peaceful, ordinary life and then slowly introduces something completely impossible, which makes the supernatural moment feel more impactful. Abby feels believable because she has her own ambitions, especially her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon, and her friendship with Milly gives the beginning a warm, everyday feeling before everything changes. I especially like the scene where Abby looks toward the sky and notices the mysterious figure because it creates a strange feeling without immediately explaining what is happening. Alex's appearance is also a strong moment: his unusual appearance, impossible speed, and the way he looks at Abby as if he has known her for a very long time make him immediately mysterious. The most interesting part for me is that Abby doesn't understand anything either, because that allows the reader to discover the truth with her instead of already knowing everything. I would mainly improve the pacing in a few places and give Melody an even more distinctive personality so she feels like a character with her own presence rather than simply Abby's friend, but the foundation is strong. The chapter leaves several important questions unanswered—who Alex really is, why he knows Abby, why Abby can see him, and what happened between them before she lost her memories—and those questions give the story a clear mystery to build on. Overall, I think the first chapter has a good balance between normal life, friendship, dreams, mystery, and supernatural suspense, and it gives the story a strong reason to continue."
