Summary

Sito, a minor, is raped by High Chief Ayara, a respected family benefactor the girl considered her second father. She refuses to remain silent despite the obstacles on the path of her quest for justice. High Chief Ayara's wealth, influence, and connections turn her fight for justice into a battle against her own family, the Police Force, and a celebrated lawyer once upon a time a celebrated prosecutor of rapists. Sito discovers that accused persons can have the upper hand while the victims descend further downhill into a lonely world. Can the voice of a traumatised girl from a lowly background be heard? What would the determined girl consider an appropriate closure?
