"As a practicing attorney and avid reader, this novel was a breath of fresh air, offering a riveting indictment on the interplay of race and power in the legal profession from the eyes of Brandon Closer, a no-holds barred, take-no-prisoners protagonist who candidly voices what I as an attorney have often thought, felt, and experienced, particularly when dealing with those held in the highest regard in the profession- judges.
