PISCES P.O.V

Time flies so fast. The last time I lazed around was before Christmas. It’s been 4 months since I took a break. Fuck this capitalism. Why do idols like me not get a break, even during holidays? Woooo!!!

“Are you listening, Taury?” I asked, as there was complete silence on the other side of my phone.

“Did you fall asleep?” I asked again, realizing I was disturbing him at midnight. Ahhh, the freaking time zone!!

“Mmm… listening,” he finally replied.

“I’m sorry for disturbing your sleep,” I apologized, feeling bad.

He immediately replied in his casual, laid-back tone, “No worries. I am actually staying awake to see the sunrise and take photos. Hearing you keeps me awake. Besides, you can call me anytime, Pie.”

“Ohhhh,” I replied.

Silence followed, as neither of us said anything. I lay on my hotel bed, staring at the ceiling.

“Pie!” he called out my name.

I responded with a “Hmm?” Too tired to speak. Maybe the exhaustion from the day was starting to wear me down.

“Let’s go on a vacation when your tour is over?” came his voice from my phone, which was now on speaker. But is he asking me or inviting me? Confused, I decided to clear the doubt.

“Is it an invitation? Or are you asking me whether I want to go on a vacation?”

“Invitation,” he replied. “It’s been too long since we spent a vacation together,” he continued, his voice deep.

Ahh, true. The last time we spent a vacation together was the Christmas one year ago. Since then, our schedules kept clashing, and we couldn’t meet as often. Only video calls or plain calls like now.

Vacation with Taury. Just the thought of it cheered me up.

“Where do you wanna go?” I asked, feeling a bit excited about having a vacation to look forward to.

“Didn’t you say a few days ago that you missed that vacation villa of your grandpa’s? Let’s go there.”

Tchh, no wonder he is my best friend. How can he know me so well?

“Tauryyyy, you spyyyyy!! How do you know me so well? Are you my twin? Yessss!!! Let’s go there,” I said excitedly. All the exhaustion left my body at the word vacation.

Taury laughed loudly… maybe because he heard my dramatic words.

“Let’s plan tomorrow. Go to sleep, Pie.”

“But I am not that sleepy anymore,” I told him honestly.

“Just close your eyes and go to sleep. You’ve got a show tomorrow,” he reminded me.

Well, he was right.

“Okayy! Good night, Taurus. Take care! Send me the sunrise photo later.”

“Good night, Pie. Sweet dreams. I’ll send you the photo tomorrow.”

The call ended. But I still stared at the ceiling, planning the vacation in my mind. I didn’t know when I fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up with messages from Taurus.

Ahh, the sunrise photos.

I opened the message and saw two pics. One of the sunrise and one of Taury smiling.

I saved the two photos. He looks handsome.

[Have a great show, Pie.]

I stared at his message.

[I will. Thank you. And have a great day ahead.] I replied.

A few hours later, I was sitting in the makeup room, getting ready for my concert. Strangely, I didn’t feel exhausted at all. Why? Because I’ve got a vacation to look forward to. Hehe.

“What got you in such a good mood?” Capri, my manager, asked with a suspicious look.

“Hehe! Just.” I replied, not explaining further.

Libra continued with my makeup. So, I sat still.

“Pie, tell me you didn’t engage in any keyboard war without my notice.” Capri asked in a nervous and slightly annoyed voice.

I didn’t turn toward Capri. I looked at the vanity mirror. There she was, Capri, my manager, standing behind me. “Am I that much of a troublemaker?” I asked, genuinely curious about how she sees me.

“Not her fault, Pie. You’ve got a reputation to make her worried.” Lia chimed in, supporting Capri.

“Well, as long as Pie is not sighing, I am up for whatever she did.” Sagittarius, who was stretching, supported me.

Ahh, my dear Saggy, always taking my side.

I glared at Lia, the traitor. Tch, to think she works for me but always sides with Capri. Hmph.

“Now, now, hurry up and tell us what got you so happy?” Libra asked, not minding my glare.

“I am planning on going on a vacation with Taurus after the tour.”

The trio looked at me in surprise. Capri had a relieved expression. Lia regained her calm expression and continued with my makeup. Saggy had an excited expression as she sprang towards me.

“Wow! Where are you guys going?” Saggy, the forever adventurous, quickly asked.

“My grandpa’s villa,” I replied with a smile. Ahh, I miss that villa.

“Is it that villa you often mention about…the one where you spent your summer as a child?” Capri asked me.

“Yep,” I nodded.

“Also, Capricorn, I need at least a month of vacation. So, after my tour, I would straight up go on vacation. Cancel/postpone any tasks/schedules of mine for a month later.” I told Capri, with my firm voice that expected no negotiation.

Capri stared at me for a minute. Nodded. And was soon busy on her iPad, maybe cancelling or postponing my schedule.

Lia finished with my makeup, helped me with the final touches of my outfit. While Saggy talked with the dancers.

I closed my eyes, with a content smile. Just one more week of this tour, and I will be free.

But, I am not the only one tired. Capri, Libra and Saggy too are tired with me, I thought and opened my eyes and observed them. They also looked tired.

Hmmm, why not bring them to the vacation too? I should talk about it with Taurus. But if I am bringing friends, shouldn’t I also bring Leo, Aries and Gemini? Yes, that’s it. It’ll be fun if we all go together.

I took my phone out of my pocket and quickly messaged Taury about my plan.

[What do you think about bringing Leo, Capri, Aries, Gemini and my other friends Lia and Saggy along with us to the vacation?]

There, I sent the message. Knowing full well, he’ll reply later. I locked my phone.

“Pisces, let’s go. It’s showtime.” Capri’s voice came, and I stood up, looking at myself in the mirror for a final look.

“You can do this!” I told myself and walked out of the room, towards the stage.

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
