Imagine a long con movie diluted down to the ending reveal only.
"This was an interesting story / thought exercise. The FMC, plays a game where she knows what is coming, builds a dead mans switch reveal after 72 hours and brilliantly plays her part subtly while letting her opponent drop her guard and basically run into the wall she prepares. There is one chapter that is repeated so it's a 6 chapter story for the most part. I found it both fascinating and with some plotholes that I noted in the chapters. But even with those issues the story was well told and unfolds in a short period of time. There is one odd thing though, the FMC almost acts in a non emotional state that I've read before when the character was autistic. There's an emotionless state the FMC stays in throughout the story. She doesn't react to anything that happens, preferring to let it all unfold as though she's seen it happen already. That's not usually possible for most people, I certainly couldn't attain it for long. Well worth the read IMO. "
