Chapter 1 — Everyone Knows Vanellope

By eighth grade, almost everyone at school knew Vanellope.

She was funny, kind, confident, and somehow seemed to know everybody.

Avari had known her long enough to understand why.

They had met the year before, and their friendship had grown stronger with every month.

Avari had also developed feelings for her.

Unfortunately, Avari wasn’t the only one.

One Monday morning, Avari walked into the cafeteria and counted.

One person waved at Vanellope.

Then another.

Then another.

By the time lunch started, Avari had counted nearly twenty people who seemed interested in Vanellope.

Avari sighed.

“This is going to be a long year.”

Vanellope laughed.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

Quenda: Overall a good story. Looks like it is in need of a good proof reader as it contradicts itself at times...but overall a good story.
