The Love They Never Spoke Of

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Some parents never say “I love you.” They spend their entire lives proving it. My father never needed beautiful words to express his love. He showed it through the burdens he carried, the financial sacrifices he made, and the dreams he quietly set aside to give his daughters a better future. My mother never asked for recognition. Her love lived in the meals she prepared before sunrise, the endless responsibilities she carried, and the familiar question she asked every day: “Have you eaten?” Growing up, we believed this was simply what parents did. We never fully understood the worries behind our father's reassuring smile or the exhaustion hidden behind our mother's endless giving. Until we grew older. Until we began to understand the price of the life they had worked so hard to give us. This is not a story of perfect parents or a perfect family. It is a story of ordinary people whose extraordinary love often went unnoticed, of daughters learning the meaning of sacrifice, and of the heartbreaking realization that while children grow up, their parents grow older, too. Through silent sacrifices, unspoken promises, and the simple moments that make a house a home, one truth becomes impossible to ignore: Some of the greatest love stories are never written in love letters. They are written in the lives our parents spend building for us. And sometimes, the people who deserve to hear “I love you” the most are the ones we forget to say it to. An emotional story of family, gratitude, sacrifice, and a love that never needed to be spoken to be felt.

Chapter 0: The Love Underneath Duties

Some parents never say, “I love you.” They spend their entire lives proving it.

There are love stories written in the stars, some whispered beneath the moonlight, and others celebrated with grand gestures for the whole world to see.

But the most beautiful love story I have ever known was never written in a book. It never needed an audience, applause, or recognition.

It lived quietly inside our home.

In a father who carried responsibilities heavier than his shoulders could bear, yet never allowed his daughters to feel the weight of them.

In a mother who woke before the sun, exhausted herself throughout the day, and still found the strength to ask her children, “Have you eaten?”

It was a love that never demanded anything in return.

A love that gave everything.

And perhaps, like so many daughters, we were too young to understand just how much it was costing our parents to give us the life we deserved.

THE ALPHA WHO REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE

Merrell Bunting: This story has a unique take on the shifter world. It is fairly quick moving and holds your interest but has some pretty glaring continuity issues which are distracting. I also did not care for the male lead’s complete refusal to acknowledge any emotional feelings for his mate. He always referred to...
