Their eyes, their noses, their lips, and even the shape of their faces looked identical. If they had stood beside each other, people might have wondered whether they were sisters separated at birth.

One was the wife of a wealthy doctor. The other was a nurse who lived with her grandmother.

Today, she was going to get engaged to the man she loved.

Lee Chin stood in front of the mirror, holding the dress against herself. Her eyes filled with happiness as she imagined her future with him.

“Grandma, how do I look?” she asked, walking into the living room.

Her grandmother looked at her with loving eyes.

“My beautiful granddaughter, you look like a princess.”

Lee Chin hugged her tightly.

“One day, Grandma, I will take you to a beautiful house. You will never have to work again. I promise.”

Her grandmother smiled and gently touched her cheek.

“I don't need a beautiful house, my child. I only want you to be happy.”

Lee Chin's phone suddenly rang.

It was him.

She answered immediately.

“Hello! Where are you? Everyone is waiting. You know today is our engagement day, right?” she said excitedly.

But there was silence on the other side.

“Lee Chin, I need to tell you something.”

Her smile slowly disappeared.

“What happened? Are you okay?”

“I am leaving for Canada.”

She froze.

“Canada? What are you talking about?”

“I have already made my decision. I am leaving today.”

“But… what about our engagement? What about our future?”

He remained silent for a moment before speaking again.

“I am sorry, Lee Chin. I cannot marry you.”

Her phone slipped slightly in her trembling hand.

“No. Please, don't joke with me. You promised you would never leave me.”

“I am sorry.”

Those were his last words before the call ended.

Lee Chin stared at her phone as if the entire world had suddenly stopped moving.

The man she had trusted with her heart had left her on the very day they were supposed to begin their new life together.

Her grandmother rushed toward her.

“Lee Chin! What happened, my child?”

Lee Chin tried to speak, but no words came out. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

“He left me, Grandma. He is going to Canada. He doesn't want to marry me anymore.”

Her grandmother pulled her into a warm embrace.

“Cry if you need to, my child. But remember, someone leaving your life does not mean your life is over.”

Lee Chin held her grandmother tightly and cried until she could barely breathe.

For the first time, the future she had dreamed about seemed completely empty.

A few hours later, Lee Chin left the house without telling anyone where she was going.

She walked along the busy streets, unable to stop thinking about his words.

Every memory hurt.

“Why did you do this to me?” she whispered.

Just then, her phone rang again.

She looked at the screen, hoping it was him.

But it wasn't.

With shaking hands, she put the phone away and began crossing the road.

A loud horn suddenly echoed through the street.

Lee Chin turned her head.

A car was speeding toward her.

She tried to move, but it was too late.

The impact threw her to the ground.

People screamed and rushed toward her. Her phone lay broken beside her, and her beautiful engagement dress was stained with dust.

Her vision began to blur.

Someone shouted, “Call an ambulance! Quickly!”

Lee Chin tried to open her eyes.

“Grandma…” she whispered.

Then everything went dark.

“Prepare the patient immediately!” he ordered.

Nurses rushed around as Lee Chin was placed on the bed.

The doctor examined her and looked toward the nurse.

“Who brought her here?”

“A passerby, Doctor. We haven't found her family yet.”

The doctor nodded.

“Do everything you can to save her.”

Outside the emergency room, the hospital corridor was filled with worried voices.

No one knew that this accident would change more than one life.

Far away, in a luxurious house, Shara Kim stood beside a window, looking at the moon.

She was the wife of the wealthy and respected doctor, Kim Taehyung.

To the outside world, Shara had everything a woman could wish for—money, beauty, and a powerful husband.

But even in her beautiful home, there were secrets she could never share.

She touched a small photograph hidden inside a drawer.

Two little girls smiled in the picture.

They looked exactly alike.

Shara's eyes filled with tears.

“Where are you now?” she whispered.

She had no idea that, somewhere across the city, the other girl in that photograph was fighting for her life.
