thought

Rakesh was lying on the sofa in the living room, scrolling through his phone. The house was quiet since Kamini had left for her office early morning after their usual bitter argument about money and household responsibilities. He tossed the phone aside and stretched, feeling lazy on his day off.

He walked towards the kitchen to get water and saw Meena standing near the stove, cooking breakfast.

Meena looked up from the stove, her brown eyes locking with Rakesh's as she leaned forward to stir the pan, her low-cut blouse exposing more of her milky white skin.

"Accha ji, subah subah aap? Kamini ji toh chali gayi office?" She smiled coyly, her voice carrying that village accent.

Rakesh stood 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and a muscular build that filled out his casual t-shirt. His jawline was sharp, stubble darkening his chin, and dark eyes that commanded attention. He was definitely more handsome than any man in Meena's village.

He poured himself a glass of water, his bicep flexing slightly as he raised the glass.

Meena's eyes wandered over his muscular frame, biting her lip as she noticed how much more attractive he was than the village men back home. She adjusted her saree pallu, letting it slip slightly.

"Aaj Kamini ji toh jaldi Chali gyi Aapka toh chhutti ka din hai..." She kept stirring the poha, her hips swaying deliberately.

Rakesh leaned back against the kitchen counter, crossing his muscular arms over his chest, his dark eyes watching her exaggerated movements.

"Han, Kamini ne din mein hi jhagada kiya aur chali gayi... Mera bhi mood off tha isliye chhutti le li." He took a sip of water, his gaze fixed on her exposed skin.

Meena's nose crinkled in fake sympathy, her brown eyes darting to his broad shoulders and then down to his hands gripping the counter.

"Aww... toh aaj aapka poora din akele rahega ghar mein?" She pouted, leaning over the stove, her blouse dipping lower. She lowered her voice conspiratorially.

Rakesh watched the way her blouse dipped lower as she leaned, his jaw slightly tightening. He'd noticed how she always wore such low-cut blouses, even when Kamini was at home.

"Han, akela hi hu aaj." He said casually, but his eyes trailed over her curve slightly before averting them.

Meena bit her lower lip playfully, stirring the poha slowly, her eyes never leaving his muscular frame. She tilted her head slightly, the pallu of her saree slipping further down her shoulder.

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
