Chapter 1

🌸 She Is a Miracle ❤️

Chapter 1 – The Beginning of Her Story 🦋

In 1985,

The hospital was filled with the sound of hurried footsteps and anxious whispers. Outside the delivery room, Arun paced back and forth, waiting for the nurse to bring him the news he had been eagerly expecting.

Beside him stood his mother, Kamala. Both of them had only one wish—to welcome a baby boy into their family.

“Please, God… let it be a boy,” Arun whispered to himself.

A few minutes later, the delivery room door opened, and a nurse stepped outside with a smile.

“Congratulations! You have been blessed with a baby girl!”

For a moment, Arun stood frozen.

“A girl?” he asked, his voice filled with disappointment.

Kamala's face fell. She had expected a grandson, and the news of a granddaughter was not what she had hoped for.

Neither of them rushed forward to see the newborn baby.

But inside the room, a different kind of love was beginning to bloom.

Kavya, the baby's mother, lay exhausted on the hospital bed. When the nurse gently placed the tiny baby in her arms, Kavya's eyes filled with tears.

They were not tears of disappointment. They were tears of pure happiness.

Her little daughter had tiny fingers, soft cheeks, and beautiful eyes that slowly opened as if she were trying to discover the world around her.

Kavya gently touched her baby's cheek.

“My little angel…” she whispered lovingly.

The baby curled her tiny fingers around her mother's finger, and Kavya smiled through her tears.

In that moment, she forgot all her pain and exhaustion. Nothing else mattered to her. Her daughter was the most precious gift she could ever receive.

“What should we name her?” the nurse asked.

Kavya looked at her baby with affection.

“குழலி… Kuzhali,” she replied softly.

“Kuzhali,” she repeated, kissing her daughter's forehead. “That's your name, my little princess.”

She held Kuzhali close to her heart and whispered, “No matter what happens in this world, Amma will always love you. You will never be alone as long as I am here.”

Kuzhali slept peacefully in her mother's arms, unaware of the world she had entered—a world where some people would celebrate her, while others might question her worth simply because she was born a girl.

Kavya looked at her daughter and smiled.

She had no idea what the future held for her little girl, but she promised herself that she would give Kuzhali all the love and courage she needed to face it.

Outside the room, Arun was still struggling to accept the news. After a while, he finally entered the room.

Kavya looked up at him with hopeful eyes.

“Arun, look at our baby. Isn't she beautiful?” she asked, smiling.

Arun glanced at the baby sleeping in Kavya's arms.

“I thought we would have a boy,” he said quietly.

Kavya's smile slowly faded.

“Arun, she's our child. What is her fault? She didn't choose to be born a girl. She's just a baby who needs our love.”

Arun remained silent for a moment.

Instead of answering, he turned away and walked out of the room.

Kavya watched him leave, her heart aching. She had imagined that both of them would share this beautiful moment, but his reaction had left her feeling alone.

Kamala, who was standing nearby, shook her head.

“It's okay. Maybe next time, we will have a boy,” she said.

Kavya looked down at Kuzhali.

Even though her heart was hurting, she gently hugged her daughter closer.

“Why should we wait for another child to be happy?” she whispered. “You are enough for me, Kuzhali. You are my happiness.”

She kissed her daughter's forehead and wiped away her tears.

That little baby had entered the world without knowing that her birth had already become a disappointment to some people.

But to Kavya, she was not a disappointment.

She was a blessing. She was a dream. She was a miracle.

And this was only the beginning of Kuzhali's story—a story of love, pain, courage, dreams, and the struggles she would one day face as she grew up in a world that did not always understand the value of a girl.

Because every girl is born with a story of her own. And Kuzhali's story was just beginning. ❤️🌸

bushbaby: Really fantastic book, despite the MFC background it felt like a satisfying, almost cheesy happy book. Bloodlines

lblomme: I always love a story where good overcomes evil. The sad start, the growth, and ultimate strength of the main character was well done. The story never lagged and ultimately delivered a happy ending even for characters who were less than stellar. Well done!
