A Hunt

Everything in this forest will be tainted once again.

The night was dark and cold and the trees sang the song of death. Occasionally, the place would whisper the truth of what was yet to come and the sounds of pain vibrated the whole area. It was a perfect for a chase.

A chase that consisted of red spurting, the metal in the chaser's mouth, the stench emitting from the pile of meat, the screaming melody and the shiver of excitement running down his spine whenever he touches something that is of the prey's belonging.

He knows that he shouldn't be doing this. There was no humanity in it. The first time he regretted but there was something he cannot place. Later on, he got addicted to it. He felt satisfied with every kill.

But he craved for more. More and more and more until he can say that he was satisfied.

The prey went to a tree house. It thought that it will be able to escape. It was wrong for the chaser's eyes were sharp as an eagle. He was able to see it.

The prey blinked and the chaser was there when it opened its eyes. It gasped. The hunter smirked. He violently slashed it on the arm, stabbed the eye a couple of times until it was goo and slowly drove the knife to the stomach and throat.

And after that, when he saw blood making a puddle and the almost unidentified corpse stabbed and cut to death, he was satisfied. The results were beautiful – too beautiful for him.

Wait. No.

He needed more. It was not enough.

Yes, it was time to find the next one.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
