Passing period

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

NOTE: THIS IS AN ONGOING STORY AND IS NOT COMPLETED. It's kill or be killed. Which will you choose? Ollie's life is normal. Mundane. He attends a normal high school where he hangs out with his normal friends and lives in a normal small town. Until it isn't. On a seemingly boring day Ollie's school is taken over by terrorists who force his school into a deadly game. The rules are simple. Before the passing period some students will be given knives. They are called the lions. The rest are prey. The lions must kill at least one student or be killed by the armed terrorists running the operation. Blood, chaos, tears and betrayal all seep out in this thrilling novel you won't be able to put down. Will Ollie and his friends live? Or will they become just another casualty?

Prologue. Period 9. 2:59 PM.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Hey guys. Thanks for reading Passing period I hope you enjoy it! Please just know that updates to the story will be possibly infrequent after the first 10 chapters. I am a teenager dealing with school work and other activities. If reader demand is high enough I will release the first 10 in a more frequent manner but the rest after that won’t be frequent. I’ll try to upload bi-weekly but we’ll see. Anyways I’ve talked too much enjoy Passing period.

Alone.

Alone. That’s the best way to describe me right now. Alone and surrounded by the smell of blood and darkness. Tears clogged up my throat and I gasped for air before letting them flow again watching one by one as they dropped to the floor like a rain storm.

I was dumb. So so dumb. Why didnt I help? Why didn’t I help when I saw her bleeding out and dying right before my eyes? It’s really my fault at the end of the day.

Minutes passed and I thought, surely they’d hear a boy crying alone in the stall right? But they didn’t. Instead I continued to cry like a coward, a crybaby. One minute ticked. Then another. Then another. I picked up my almost dead phone and read the digital clock. 3:05 PM.

That’s when the door to the bathroom opened and I nearly gaped and dropped my phone. The sound of footsteps filled the room and I held my breath and tried to remain silent knowing that what was coming was just going to break me more. I listened closely as they one by one opened up stalls. Looking for something or someone. One stall opened. Then another. Then another. Then another until they were right outside my stall. I barely had time to show my shock. To show my surprise. I barely had time to scream before they opened the stall and grabbed me by the throat.

My brain took seconds to realize who it was and the first words I could think to say were, “I thought you were dead.”

caldwtd: A bit of sweet in a world of violence. I enjoyed this story, and angst of each character believing they should not have these feelings towards each other.
