Chapter 1: HOW IT ALL STARTED
IT ALL HAPPENED when Nora went for a swim to a small pond behind her house. It was a very hot day and Nora was tempted to try her new swimming suit and goggles. Her father had also bought her a dainty bracelet. She was simply itching to try her new outfit and accessories. So, when her father was taking an afternoon siesta and her mother was busy chatting with her neighbour, she went to her room, took her outfits. She also took a rather crumpled paper from her untidy drawer and wrote a note -
Dear mum,
I am going for swim in the nearby pool.

When she was about to go, her sharp eyes fell on her old tent house, and she decided to take it too.....maybe I can stay there for a few days or even a week or two, like a camp, the 11 year old thought. So she took a plain sheet of paper and wrote -
‘Taking my tent house. Can also live there for a few days or a week. Don’t worry about me. After all its vacations and I still have got a week’s holiday.’ And then, she stapled it with the previous message.
She took her school bag and began to put her things. Night suit, jeans, pillow, a thin blanket, some boxes of matches, sardines, fruit cake, pancakes and the desserts, all went there. By the time, she finished packing, her bag was like a balloon, and the zips were about to burst. She put it around her back and almost stumbled to take such a weight.
Then, she quickly went away.
