Morning Thoughts
Canon, my home, origin, and grave. Off Florida's Gulf Coast, South of Chassahowitzka and North of Pine Island Beach the City of Canon plants itself on a long stretched peninsula with Selene's Bay separating it from land. Across the Bay lay a small town dwarfed by Canon's scale and consumed with in it's rural region. The Glades it is called. And it is where I currently live. There's nothing to do within the glades. The bay is really the only place to have fun but the ownership of the glades side of the coast is all run by the fishing companies and big businesses that resign in Canon. There is the Miguel's Junk Yard, where a lot of the kids have took'n up as a prominent hang out spot. Mainly a grave yard for out of commission vessels. However in the recent years a few street gangs have formed and now use the spot as a dealing place for drug trafficking. Crimson Tide Arcade was also a very popular spot, even though the machines haven't been replaced since the 90's. Sadly we're now in the 2010's and who play's old arcade games anymore. Well that's what my peers say whenever Crimson Tide is brought up. For me, regarding my own taste, I just enjoy the local cinema. A safe space to lose myself in overpriced junk food and good flicks. With only four screens, the Pubert's Theater only has limited showings for films, making it the very reason I was so eager to go so the new Fury Pain film tonight. A film with so much hype surrounding it's release that no way on earth two and a half hours could please every fan boy. That would not stop me though. A lonely 17 year old who couldn't careless for what tomorrow brung, as long as I could still chill in piece. A teenage boy with no life goals or world shattering aspirations. A young man that will soon regret going to the theater alone tonight. A boy born on Canon Island U.S.A. and yearns for the simple days of living there. Every time I go to school I look to the sun rise over the city that was my home. Across the Bay. My Canon.
