- Chapter 1 | i'm the coach babe

A R I E L L A

“It’s time for school Ari!” I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

“I’m coming!” I yell back as I finish tying my black combat boots.

Today is the first day of senior year at a new school. My outfit consists of a low cut black crop top, black lace bralette, leather jeans, a leather jacket, and my favorite pair of combat boots.

“Ariella! You’re going to be late!” She yells again and I quickly grab my bag.

“I’m coming mom!” I yell as I make my way downstairs.

My name is Ariella Gonzalez. Both of my parents are gang leaders since they just combined their two gangs together.

Four years ago I moved to England with my family because something happened to the gang. I don’t know what happened because they never told me, but I was so upset when I moved.

Before we moved I was like a good girl. I never did anything bad, but I knew how to because of my parents.

I hated attention and didn’t get in trouble for anything, but my time away from home changed me.

I’m not that same girl that hides in the shadows. I started using my skills and started street fighting like my parents used to when they were my age.

I can even beat my mom. It sure took a while, but I’ve done it.. I was strong enough to take my mom down.. Even my dad can’t do that.

People at my old school became afraid of me. They knew what my parents did for a living and didn’t mess with me, but the ones who did.. Well, I might have shown them that they messed with the wrong girl.

Now we moved back and I’m going to be starting my senior year..

I wonder what’s changed.. I had a best friend named Alec Bleu when I lived here and I may or may not have had a crush on him.

We were friends since we were six years old, but when I moved we drifted apart and lost contact.. I wish we didn’t though.

I don’t think I have feelings for him though because I prefer the bad boy type and he was anything, but a bad boy.

I still remember the way he always wore a hoodie and kept one headphone in his ear, basically all the time.

I really missed him, but I doubt he remembers me.. I still remember what happened the day I left.. The day we drifted apart..

“Is it time?” He asks looking at me with sad eyes.

“Yea.. I don’t want to go.” I say and a tear slides down my cheek.

“I don’t want you to go either, but it’s going to be okay.. We can still talk everyday.” He says wiping my tear away.

“But you’re my best friend! I-I don’t want to leave you..” I say wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug and he hugs back.

“I’m going to miss you so much.. You’re my only friend and I don’t know how I’m going to survive without you.” He says holding me tighter.

“It’s time to go Ari.” Mom says from the car as we break apart.

“Just one more minute.” I say and she nods.

“I love you Alec.” I say and hug him one last time.

“I love you too Ariel.. I’ll talk to you later, okay..” He say and I nod against his chest.

When we break apart I kiss his cheek before turning around to get into the car. I glance over my shoulder and see him turning to walk back to my house so I turn back around.

“Ariel wait!” I hear him say quickly as he grasps my arm and turn me around.

I was about to ask what he was doing, but never got the chance because his lips were on mine. All of our hidden feelings for each other are felt in this kiss, but just as he deepens it he breaks away.

“Alec.. I..” I start but he cuts me off.

“I really do love you Ariel.. Goodbye.” He says turning around as he walks to his house.

The way he said it made a tear slip from my eye. He said it like I wouldn’t ever see him again.

I can’t blame him though, because I don’t know when or if I’ll ever come back to Rosewood.. I just hope it’s soon, because I didn’t even get to tell him that I feel the same..

Ever since that day, things between us were never the same..

“Do you want to eat breakfast?” Mom asked as I walked into the kitchen.

“No thanks mom, I’ll just eat something there.” I say as I grab a bottle of water from the fridge.

“Okay, have fun today.” She says smiling.

“I will. Bye mom.” I say as I zip up my leather jacket and grab my helmet.

I go outside and hop onto my black motorcycle. Placing my helmet on I speed off to school.

As I pull into the parking lot I see a spot in the front next to a group of guys. There’s another car that’s about to pull in, but I speed into the spot before she can and she honks her horn at me.

“Sick bike dude.” Says one of the guys next to me.

“Is that the newest model?” The other asks shocked, probably because the model isn’t out yet.

As I look around with my helmet still on I see a bunch of people staring at me. The girl are looking with interest as all the guys are glaring.

They probably all think I’m a guy. Boy are they wrong..

I swing my leg over the seat and get off the bike taking off my helmet. I hear gasps from basically everyone as my long dirty blonde hair falls down my back.

I open the seat of my bike and grab my bag as I place my helmet inside, but not before I unzip my jacket letting my abs show.

Turning around I come face to face with a Greek god. “Hey I’m Damien.” He says with a smirk and I know he’s a player.

“Hey.” I say smirking.

“We should go out sometime.” He says coming closer.

“I’m good.” I say taking a step closer.

“Are you sure? Because it seems like you want to.” He says pulling me to him.

“I’m sure because you’re just a player in a game.” I said and he grins.

“I’m not just a player. I’m the best player babe.” He says and I raise an eyebrow.

“Is that supposed to impress me?” I ask running my hand down his torso.

“Did it?” He asks as my fingers look around his belt buckles and I bring my lips to his ear nibbling slightly.

“No, because I’m the coach babe.”
