Goose For Thanksgiving Dinner

Jamie was at the supermarket, only to discover there were no turkeys left. Thanksgiving was tomorrow and her family from Illinois was coming and she didn't want to disappoint them again. "If only I had gotten a turkey earlier in the month," she lamented.

"How about a goose instead?" A woman suggested. "Better than nothing right?"

"I guess," said Jamie. She got a goose and then some egg nog and checked out. Once she got home, she let the goose thaw out for a time.

"I'm sure my family will appreciate a good plump goose for Thanksgiving dinner," said Jamie, tickling a dead alligator for no apparent reason.

"I'm sure they will," said her neighbor, Buck.

"Don't you ever knock?" Jamie snapped.

"Got any gravy for that goose?" Buck asked.

"Of course, ketchup man," said Jamie.

"Don't be such a wise Rhode Island woman!" Buck hissed.

"Go soak your head!"

"No, eat a carrot, buck toothed fool!"

The witty banter between them lasted all the way to 2029.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
